I read the reviews on this place before I signed my lease and didn't believe them. TRUST THE RATINGS. I could write paragraphs and paragraphs but I'll keep it short enough to get my point across. Maintenance sucks and management is even worse. This month and this month alone my building has been without water 4 TIMES. Countless of time since I have lived here my ac goes out, water is not at my access for HOURS. Management has no empathy for anything that happens here.. no water -deal with it. No air - deal with it. Hot tub is scorching hot- oops sorry. (Could have been a lawsuit). Pools are constantly green or closed. Cops are here everyday, car break ins. Maintenance guys painted the curbs and didn't put wet paint signs up so my child was walking on the curb in his brand new air Jordan's and I realized there was red wet paint all over them from the freshly painted curbs. Maintenance guy laughed and said 'it's Arizona. Paint dries fast, no need for and wet paint signs' management refused to reimburse me for my child's RUINED $100 shoes. Literally the worst place to live in Mesa. TRUST THE REVIEWS DO NOT MOVE HERE.
Please save yourselves and don't rent here, they're going to try their best to take more money from you that's unecessary. I was late on rent for about 5 days once (due to not getting paid till then) and had to pay almost $150 in late fees. I was told if I called before being late again, they would be able to help me out and waive the fees. So when I did a few months later, they told me on the 2nd of the month I'm getting charged $50 plus a $25 5 day notice fee (that I wouldn't even get until the 5th) plus $10 a day after that. I was only going to pay 2 days late and they're charging me $95 for doing so. The girl in the office was not helpful and whoever told me before that I could get it waived is a liar. How can I get charged for something I'm not going to recieve???? Do not rent here!!! One more thing they'll throw in your face if you don't want their meth head maintanance in your home without you being there is "we can enter your apartment whenever we want."
Dont live here. They will raise your rent every year you live here. Its happened to me and friends. They take weeks to fulfill simple repair requests. They ignore some. There is no 3 to 5 day grace period on rent like most other complexes so if you dont pay by midnight on the 1st you get slapped with a late rent fee. They randomly shut off the water with no warning so if you need to shower before work sometimes you're just out of luck. There's never any parking at night because they charge up the wazoo for their parking garages. They say its gated but there's a few openings up to the canal in the back. Peoples cars often get broken into. The mailman seems to not do his job very well, I get mail for other apartments in the complex on a weekly basis. The maintenance men are very nice though, they always have at me when im leaving and are always professional. Probably the only good thing about this place.
Staff is very cooperative, nice, excellent at helping you and the atmosphere was a delight.you won't go wrong renting here. I have to say a job well done. We had Brianna one of the office lady's show us around for the tour she was wonderful she had us bought right away
They don't care about their tenants they don't put near the amount of money they get back into the apartments.
They charge luxury apartment prices for poorly maintained apartments that are falling apart. The only reason they can get the amount of money they get is because of its location. If you picked up these apartments and put them in E. Mesa you would be lucky to get $600/mo for a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom.
Met some of the maintenance and even the managers on property. They offered water and helped me out and answered all my questions. Great property with friendly service.
Just don't go. After I moved out, I expected to receive my deposit $150, however, what i got is totally shocking. They sent me a balance statement, $67.91. I cleaned well, and i don't use shoes in my apartment, it means the carpet is clean, actually the carpet was not new when I moved in. Also every time when i vacuumed, a lot of animals' hairs were sucked in even though i don't have any pet. They charged for carpet cleaning, every charging include tax. I don't agree to the move-out statement. But i don't want to waste my energy for arguing with them.
Do not trust the management team members especially name Evelyn and Lantha. They are the best liars I have ever known in my life. Their lying skill is out of this world as well as their shame. I would like to buy a shame bell from GOT series and ring it everyday at their office. Unfortunately I don't think they would notice it because they do not listen to their tenants at all. They pretend to care about you and they keep saying things that make you "happy". After that they won't do anything actually helps. In one word, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. YOU CAN FIND A MUCH BETTER PLACE WITH A MUCH BETTER MANAGEMENT TEAM.
Upon departure of the apartment I made sure to do a good job cleaning and making sure it was a nice turn over for them about a month after leaving I received a bill for around 350.00 I had fees for cleaning 75.00 because I had a "sticky floor" and replacing blinds that I attempted to get fixed multiple times while living in the apartment. I always paid rent in time if not early and never caused a problem. The apartments are outfitted with cheap junk that they will charge top dollar for when you leave! I attempted to dispute charges but they won't budge. I've lived in multiple other apartments and never had this problem. Remember when you move in to picture absolutely everything because the one thing you miss they will burn you on! The office ladies were always very stuck up and did not seem to understand their job as well. Also the place is full of tweakers and roaches.
If you are considering renting here, RUN! Far away The management company and office are incompetent and greedy. Hopefully you are comfortable with methamphetamine addicts on the maintenance staff with keys to your home and belongings, not to mention the homeless population from the canal and railroad tracks always digging in the trash The internet infrastructure is extremely outdated and they are too cheap to upgrade. The neighborhood smells like dog urine. The gates and hot tubs are only in functional order 50% of the time if that. I regret ever signing here and cannot wait to break my lease early and pay even more money to put this nightmare of a rental behind me.
I have only been here a couple months. I think for the price its a great place to live. I'm in the front, so I can't really speak for the main part of the complex, but hey a 2 bedroom for 850what do you expect?
If I could react with a 0 or lower, I seriously would. We were told that we had to make 3xs the amount of rent to move in. Rent is 814 for 2 bedroom 2 bath renovated. We thought we had caught a good deal. My husband alone makes a little over 3xs the amount in 1 month. We got declined due to "income". We met literally EVERY REQUIREMENT and they still said no. However they have a huge sign that says they domt discriminate against race (I am light but still black and my husband is as dark as beautiful smooth chocolate.) and it also says that they do not discriminate against income. Yet the reason we are declined is due to income. How is that even a issue when we MET THE REQUIREMENT. If you didnt want us there then just say it. Dont LIE. not to mention I CALLED THE PEOPLE THAT DID MY CREDIT CHECK AND THEY SAID WE GOT APPROVED. I WILL BE SPEAKING WITH MY LAWYER AND SUING YOU GUYS FOR DISCRIMINATION. THANKS
Terra Vida sucks and you should move somewhere else because this place overcharges like its a nice place to live and it literally is in the ghetto and is complete trash. I paid rent an hour late and got a 50 charge that they wouldn't allow me to pay online. I had to get a cashiers check. All of my money is good except the late fee? Bad quality apartments, bad quality service.
My experience has been nothing but negative. I would prefer to give them zero stars.
I moved in to an apartment that was dirty, and unfinished. Paint was everywhere from the door knobs to light switches. The kitchen cabinets didn't have knobs, and one kitchen cabinet was bolted shut. The walls had stains on them, and there was no trim. This delayed my move in for over a week. I had to work for over a month to have them reduce my rent, and pay the electric/air conditioning bill for that week. This was only resolved when I went to upper Milestone management.
Additionally, I was accused of not having renter's insurance, when both myself and the insurance company had provided documentation (in person and electronically).
Finally, I have a support animal, which they said I would not be charged a pet rent fee for. After 6 months of living here, I have received past due statements stating that I owe them for my pet rent. Either that means they have misplaced my medical documentation, or they have no clue what they are doing.
The apartment complex has gates, that are not secure. The doors remain propped open, and the automatic parking gates have never closed. There are silos right next door, which I was assured were not functional, yet they have been running and making noise every night for the past 2 months. There are stray cats everywhere, with residents leaving food outside for them. And dog feces is left throughout the lawn.
I am counting the days until my lease is up.
I have lived here for over a year now. When we first signed our lease we were told we could renew our lease for the same price after a year. Well we couldn't, they raised our rent by about $55 and when brought to the attention of management that there must be some mistake, told us there's nothing they could do about it. The office staff is really nice, but do not seem very accommodating, I've had that impression for awhile now. They close so early I have a hard time picking up packages or going in to put money on my laundry card.
When we first moved in, we did our walk through and noticed a big hole in the wall in the Landry closet. We let the office know so they could send someone out to fix it. The guy came out, made a bigger hole, and left. I had to call the office again a day after he came because he never came back, and apparently it "couldn't be fixed". Well fine at least it's on record that we didn't cause the hole. We Can always hear the people upstairs, I believe they do their best to really stomp around, but no problems with any neighbors.
The grounds are always well maintained. The pool is clean and well kept. Never have to wait for machines in the laundry facility. The apartment layout is nice and was clean on our first day. Always plenty of parking. No bugs or roaches get in our place, which is really great. The apartment and complex overall is a nice place to live. It's an ok value compared to other places. If you move west it's more expensive, moving east there are cheaper places. Overall, despite the trouble I've had so far, I'd probably live here again. though if our rent goes up again by a large amount next year, we've already got our eyes on another place.
