This was our first time here, and our entire family of four were so happy with the food. It was simply delicious. The ambience of the place is also quite nice in a very causal and understated way.

I am not even a taco person but the fish and chicken tacos here are awesome!!! Most of the sides are great too. This is in a cute spot as well. Whether sitting inside at the bar or one of the tall tables or on the screened in patio you are going to enjoy the atmosphere.

This isn't just a regular taco place. This is the awesome taco place. If u hungry and u like chicken then say no more. Get down there and enjoy your meal with there great service and happy faces working there. Also try there queso it's spicy and mind blowing.

Don't be fooled by the long line out the door. It moves quickly, and your food will be ready for you within minutes of sitting down at the table.
The line is there for a reason. Taqueria del Sol offers some of the most delicious food in the foodie-friendly city of Decatur. Vegetarian options are limited (one type of taco, two types of enchiladas, and some sides), but they are delicious enough that we keep coming back.response / report this review -

This is by far my favorite restaurant in all of the Atlanta area. It's a combination of the atmosphere and the food that makes it just right. The prices are reasonable and the portions are perfect. My kids LOVE the cheese dip and we never have enough. The margaritas are spot on. I also love the speedy service and attention to detail in keeping the restaurant clean by the staff. Someone is always close by to assist if needed. I definitely miss this place now that I live out of town!

This place has the best refried beans in town, in my opinion. They're even vegetarian if you're concerned about that sort of thing. This is one of my favorite restaurants to go to when the weather is nice because the outside seating is so pleasant with a basket of chips and a margarita.

This was TERRIBLE experience. The lady at the counter didn't understand customer service at all. I went up to the counter and she asked how many. So I told her that it was a large party of 10 people and she went on to ask me for the names of every single person. I said just put it under my name you can bring the food out and we'll figure it out at the table. She insisted that she needed the names of every single person. Meanwhile I'm thinking I have four kids that are under six and adults, why does she need everyone's name? When she went on to say that we will know how many sets of silverware to bring and who to bring the food to. None of that made any sense but because we were hungry we decided to give them the names and move forward. Then when my friend tried to make a joke of it she pointed to a board with two rules on it that had nothing to do with getting names of guests. It was her attitude, approach and lack of flexibility that really turned us off. The place is popular for its tacos and probably will continue to be. The tacos are fine, there are way better places for awesome tacos, but they need to train their main customer service person how to treat guests.

Always a line out the door here! However, don't let that scare you away. The line moves quickly and your food comes out shortly after you order. They have everything down to a science. Not to mention, the food is amazing! I always get a taco and an enchilada with lemon cream sauce, but you can't really go wrong here

Consistently superb food and drinks.
New patrons should understand there's a SYSTEM: you wait in line, but food arrives fast at the table. You can have someone hold your place in the line and go get drinks from the bar to make a long line wait more enjoyable. Small parties can eat at the bar for even faster service, but there may be a queue - check with the bar tender before sitting down.
They system works great to feed lots of folks without requiring reservations. Keep coming back to try everything on the menu, it's all delicious and the specials are a treat.

I'm so disappointed in my recent visit to what used to be one of my favorite hangouts! I have been supporting Taqueria Del Sol (Decatur location) for almost a decade now. I absolutely love their fish tacos and shrimp corn chowder. The service is quick, the margaritas are good and the food is filling and cost effective. This place has been my go to for friendly outings, girl's nights out and quick lunch with my children or husband. So, I'm heartbroken that they have chosen to hire a racist, ignorant, self-serving blowhole to manage their restaurant. I will not be going back until he is gone. I work very hard to be sure that his fired. His managerial skills are below subpar and I truly think he's a racist jerk who doesn't like the sight of people that don't look like him. I sat and watched how nice and accommodating he was to the white customers but yelled at my friends and I and told us we were trying to get over when we asked if a member of our party could place an order vs standing in the extremely long line. We had already ordered our food and waiting on her to get to the counter would cause us to have cold food on our hands. The way he handled us was hurtful and cruel! He should not be allowed to work in, what I thought to be, a lovely, quaint, family-oriented, neighborhood hangout. My friends and I work very hard for our money, and we deserve the same treatment as anyone else. I honestly felt like we had been time warped back to the 1960s. I am not sure if anyone will read this or find it helpful, but I would not feel right if I spent my money there or stepped foot in that establishment while that demon is managing it. I'll either visit the other two locations or simply find another place to hang out at. Just sad.

It has been my favorite Mexican Restaurant in Georgia so far. It serves hot and fresh food. It's mild and food tastes home made. It has beautiful outdoor eating area above that it's in the heart of Decatur downtown. It closes by 3pm and has a lot of rush until then. Even though you have to sometimes wait in the line to place your order but the wait is worth and the team members are hardworking enthusiasts who give their best for the service. In a nutshell, if you in downtown Decatur you have to try it already once!

Decent tacos. The fish and Memphis are both great the chicken wasn't good to me at all and the beef lacked flavor. It'd be cool if they offered an Americanized taco for the people that don't adventure far from the norm but my real complaint is the margarita. I opted for the top shelf that seemed to have a reasonable price and I knew better bc it clearly said it was made with sour mix but they literally poured it from a jug. Like everything included just jug to glass. And the taste was horrible. I couldn't even drink it and that may be the first time that's ever happened to me. The food wasn't enough to bring me back a second time with the experience that I had unfortunately. The service was great
