Good food though the quality has declined recently. Really long lines unless you are party of 2. Also fairly long wait for lunch.
Always always worth the wait. This is the only ramen place my friends and I meet at because its the best. It's a nice plus to have left overs and only $4.00 extra to add half an egg and pork to enjoy it again the next day, since the bowl is huge! Hope they never change.
Trendy place that's opened late. The food is really good, my personal favorite is their German potatoes. This place can be a bit expensive but they do have happy hour which helps. This place is almost always crowded so be prepared to wait especially if you go during dinner and later.
Quality is good but not to what it used to be a couple years back. Service was great but the flavor of the ramen isn't up to par with the new kids on the block. Their other dishes are still pretty good though.
I've never had a bad experience here - lunch, dinner, group of 8 or group of 2 ! I always eat the Vegan Ramen and/or supplement it with spicy edamame.. The people are super thoughtful and nice no matter how large a number of guests they are feeding or how late it is at night. Parking is tough right in front of the restaurant but there is plenty around the block - and I don't mind a short walk for great food. I recommend you shouldn't either :)
Hip, casual ramen house with a selection of beers on tap and sake. Prices are well within reasonable and taste exceptionally well. Tajima offers some rice alternatives for those looking for items aside from ramen.
Was delicious. Pork belly slice in ramen possible best pork belly have ever had.
Currently going through ramen craze phase, so here's a breakdown of the spicy sesame ramen's bonus/malus points:
visuals +1
cunning use of garlic +1
single meat slice -1
meat taste +4
sad dry egg -1
half egg only -1
spicy rapes the flavor -1
thick noodles +0.5
total: +2.5
pretty good, non spicy one has potential to be solid
This place is amazing. Ramen is damn near perfect and they had some decent drink specials. Lots of options on convoy st, but you can't go wrong here.
Always good! Spicy Ramen is awesome! Only drawback is the very limited parking! Wish this restaurant was in a better location.
Parking is a challenge, but you'll be rewarded for you persistence with a pleasant dining experience. Try the meso salmon or a range of noodle offering. All in my party were pleased.
First time going to any Tajima Restaurant and the food was great. Super delicious and the portions were good. I had the okonomiyaki definitely recommend it it's delicious!!!!!
This place is ALWAYS BUSY, and for good reason. The ramen is AMAZING! My friends and I dine here a few times a month and the staff is always nice. Great food but be prepared to wait. Excellence takes time.
Tajima used to be my go-to ramen shop. However, since I have left and came back to SD the menu has changed and some recipes seem to have changed. I still love everything here but its not quite the same Curry ramen will always be my favorite! You really cant go wrong with the food quality and they have a decent amount of beers on tap. Great place!
This place is awesome, but I might be bias since I love soup. The atmosphere is lively and the hosts/hostesses are friendly and really cool. Good thing I live up North beacuse I'm sure would be here adding pounds to the other weight I've been attempting to lose!!!
Delicious, flavorful food, super friendly wait staff. We sat at the bar and the entertainment of watching the staff augmented the pleasure of our own company. The decor is modern, clean, and festive, with an asian touch. Parking was tough, and we had to wait about 30 minutes, but apparently that is typical for a Saturday night. Yum! The house favorite combos at the bottom of the front of the menu were all superb.
