I travel a lot for work and always look for the best sushi place in town. I’ve found it in Albany and this restaurant rivals all the other great sushi places I’ve been across the country. Each time I come here, the sushi is fresh, absolutely delicious, and the service is good. Highly recommend this place!!
Very rarely rate a place 5 stars, but this place absolutely deserves it. Delicious food, beautiful presentation, great service. My dinner was delivery and it was still amazing. I gotta say, I have a new "best sushi I ever had."
Can't wait to eat in the actual restaurant.
Delicious food, wonderful wait staff. They also have amazing mixed drinks, the sake cocktails are unexpected but great. The sweet potato rolls are warm and crispy and perfect.
We've been going here for ten years and their food has always been excellent. Very friendly and welcoming staff.
I love this place, not just for the sushi but for ramen night as well. Everything is so good and the servers are really amazing. Best sushi in Albany is an understatement.
Food was very good. Both to the eye and to the taste. Cocktails perfect. Quiet and comfortable atmosphere. Wait staff very friendly and helpful. Myself and two Asian friends really enjoyed the evening. We'll be back often.
BEST FOOD IN THE CAPITAL AREA HANDS DOWN!!!!!
I've tried all the other ramen bars that have been popping up, they're efforts are valiant, but no one has yet to top the experience and flavor that sushi tei delivers. I travel to Boston a lot and even the shops there don't quite cut it for me. This place holds number 1 in my heart and stomach for food in the capital area.
Great food and SO friendly. I really love this place. It's like a hidden gem in Guilderland. Since they have re done the space it is even better. The only thing I do not like is the quality of the chicken they use for the teryiaki chicken, the dish did not taste right. However the sushi is AMAZING and I think their prices are affordable. I'm glad they were able to expand. Would recommend.
Staff was nice- except for one server, he was a tad odd. Nice bar, cool interior design throughout. The sushi took a while before they served it, but the quality and taste was great- you can tell it was fresh. The exterior of the restaurant isn't much, but they definitely made up for it, on the inside. Green Tea Mochi Ice Cream was alright, but the Regular Green Tea Ice Cream was better. No all-you-can-eat sushi option. Lots of sushi options. Recommend for sushi lovers.
New expansion! Sushi tei more than doubled their space!
The food is good and reasonably priced. Quality is above average and the staff are friendly.
The new area has a traditional Japanese dining area where you sit low to the ground on a low, large table (private area).
One of my favorite sushi places in the Capital Region. Great rolls for a really good price. Specially if you stick to the regular rolls. Services can be a little slow sometimes, and the place is small, but I've never had to wait for a seat.
