Dropped my bike off Tuesday evening, had it back the next day. Great service, definitely went above and beyond to get my bike back to me promptly. I live in Mims and can't express how great it is to have a reputable local shop so close to my home. Paul, thanks again and I will absolutely be bringin you my business in the future.

Lady in showroom: "Hi, how are you?"
Me: "Good, how are you?"
Lady in showroom: "Good, what can we do for you today?"
Me: "I was sent her by Dan, down on Garden Street. Do you all do re-lacing of wire wheels?"
Lady in showroom: "Umre-lacing wheels? Yes, we do."
Me: "Great. Could you give me a price on that?"
Lady in showroom (to a man who just walked into the showroom): "How much to re-lace a wheel?"
Man (to me): "On what?"
Me: "A V-Star 1100 Custom."
Man (very proudly): "NOPE. HARLEY ONLY."
I almost expected this because I've experienced a few other "Harley Only" shops, but never got this rude dismissal.
Me, turning toward the door: "OK."
Man: "I appreciate it."
I did not respond.
Every other "Harley Only" shop has always been nice, they'll say something like "Oh man, sorry brother. We only work on Harleys. There's another shop up the roadtalk to Monkey, he's the guy with the big nose, and tell him Big Buggy sent you. Monkey's a good guy." Something cool like that. Not here. I don't care that you only work on Harleys, that's fine. If your business model is able to sustain that choice, great for you. You certainly don't have to be rude and spiteful about it. Especially when the work I want done has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the brand of bike. I had $1000 in my pocket, and would gladly have paid cash on the spot to get the work done.
Anyway, rather than make too many false accusations, I felt it more appropriate to just present the exchange here with my impression of it, and folks can decide for themselves if the shop is "friendly," "courteous," and "knowledgeable" as others have said. Maybe they actually are, but only if they approve of your bike.response / report this review -

Street Thunder is a small privately owned business. I have dealt with them several times for things like hardware, new tires, new brakes and just advice. The entire staff is friendly, courteous and fully knowledgeable. For a non-dealership establishment, I was and always am pleasantly surprized at their parts on hand. I have never had them tell me they had to order something. I highly recommend Street Thunder and will continue to do all my business there.
