Wonderful hotel!! All the staff - front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, etc. - is welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. The kitchenette is a money saver and convenient for traveling with kids. Have groceries delivered or walk a few blocks to the local grocery store. There's everything you need to cook a stovetop or microwave meal. And there's a dishwasher for quick cleanup! The hot complimentary breakfast provides a delicious buffet featuring scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, yogurt, fresh fruit, hot and cold cereals, bread & bagels, juices and hot beverages - and more! I highly recommend it!
I normally don't write reviews at all, because I try to make the best of any situation but the front desk agent that checked me in on 12/28 was a African American male, and he was so unfriendly and rude. Through out my stay up until the day after I checked out every conversation I had with him would end like this: I would say "Thank you" and each time he would say "uh huh" instead of "you're welcome" like how people with manners do. Like where did you get your training? To add insult to injury he checked my family and I into a half clean room; you could tell someone sat on the toilet multiple times. It was late, and we were tired so I used the cleaning wipes/ spray I traveled with to disinfect the bathroom. We woke up to men talking outside my window just to open my blinds and see a hideous construction site (This is room 250 by the way, just in case someone tries to put you in there) and it wasn't a little construction site it filled up the whole view (and the windows are pretty big). At this point too many of our things were unpacked to try to move to another room, so we endured it for 5 days. The same rude front desk agent that checked us in placed my card on file, and I thought it was for incidentals but I ended up getting charged over $400 for my stay when I had already prepaid for my stay through a third party. I called a day later to get the situation rectified and guess who picked up? The rude guy. The call ended with him saying he would look into it and when I said "Thank you" guess what he said? "uh huh" and hangs up the phone. The guest service I received at this place has been so disappointing, and its so unfortunate because the location is great, and the rooms are really nice when they are clean.
I would like to say despite the service I received at this place, the African American young lady with dreadlocs (I really wish I had names, instead of descriptions) but she was very helpful and friendly (I believe she was the night auditor). I called down at around 2 am for some extra sheets. When I went down to retrieve them I was greeted with a warm smile, and she was so willing to help me for something so small. So thank you to her for shining some light during a very dull stay.
I was very satisfied by my stay here - the room was pleasant, spacious, and comfortable with a full-sized fridge and kitchenette. They also offer a tasty breakfast buffet with a lot of options. The surrounding area isn't terribly convenient for walking or sightseeing, but there is a T station, Target, and supermarket right nearby. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Quincy.
Receptionist is very rude, loud. I should have avoided this hotel due to the tiktok video I saw of this terrible woman, just horrid to that customer. Also not sure why she’s racist when she is clearly biracial herself & I’m not your grandkid and will not be spoken to any kind of way. Beware of this woman, if the hotel doesn’t do something about this issue they will lose customers, or have a potential lawsuit.
Overall I would probably give it 3.5 stars.
We stayed for 9 nights. We’re supposed to have someone clean on the 4th and 7th day of our trip. No one came the 4th day, and the 7th day, they left our door stuck open.
I called the front desk, who promised to take care of us. They sent someone up to download the data from our lock so they could see who did it.
They offered to give us points to make up for it, enough for a 1-night stay. (They never uploaded them to my account, and the amount of points they promised me was only 1/2 a nights stay)
Food is generally pretty good, but the same thing every day. First morning (Saturday) had biscuits and gravy, the only time they had that while we were there. The rest of the stay was the exact same food every day.
Again, it was pretty good, generally friendly staff, but just a couple of things that dropped the score.
