Peaceful and great people to hang out with friends & family..But definitely needs lots of improvement on the sites.Need to work on the party hall and store area and that has been taking care of been working on repairs for several months now. Should be a great 2018.

Was a really nice place at one time! Then the stealing, fighting and heavy drinking started. I have been told the new manager is working to correct these issues and update things. Hopefully that is the case.

Dumpy park, too tight, could hear your neighbor fart. unlevel sights.found a level one got completely setup, then got knock on door saying you're going to have to move, you can't stay here it's a permanent site.after I was told any empty site was OK. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE.EVEN IF OFFERED FREE CAMPING!!!

Full disclosure: I have family here, and stayed here as their guest. I'm no camper, but it was an interesting spot to hang out for a weekend. Located among lots of quaint little towns: Blowing Rock, Granite Falls, and Morganton are all fun.

I camp multiple times a year here. Great new management. I don't understand why people give poor reviews due to issues outside of their control such as a terrible storm damaging their lodge. Also if you need the, cell phone, internet and other social connection devices besides good people and good face to face interaction then maybe camping isn't for you. Keep your butt in the city and face stuck in Facebook. This is an awesome campground with a great staff.

The people doing the DJs(tim) are extremely biased and don't play anything besides country music. Many people would request other music instead of all country. If I could I would rate 1/16 of a star.

We had a good stay here they've done a bunch of upgrades including a new section in the 700's for bigger rigs (long pull through sites). Bathhouse's are getting updated as well. Lots of hiking to do in the beautiful mountains of this park. Staff was all very friendly also. Store on site was well stocked with anything you may have forgotten or need. They have a creamery with hand scooped ice cream and they serve light breakfast and lunches. This is an old park that needs work but it's great to see all the upgrades in progress. We will return when we're back in the area.
