Nice view, clean restrooms, spacious sites, and helpful staff. Downfall is 1 mile gravel, steep, narrow, access road up to campsite. It’s not ideal for large travel trailers or RV’s. When the campsite started to fill up, the electricity was limited and turned off. The owner and staff helped to fix problem temporarily, but they are working on getting electrical fixed. Also, be aware there are not dump stations at each site. Overall, it’s a nice place to camp, but we won’t be back with our 39 foot fifth wheel. We would go back to primitive camp.

Spent our anniversary here and it was great. Got in late and the staff was amazing and helped us find the perfect spot. We had an amazing private spot with the best view I’ve ever had at a campground. It was very cold the weekend we were there and the host made sure that we had plenty of firewood. You definitely get what you pay for here. Can’t wait to come back in the summer with our kids.

Amazing views and very friendly staff. I love camping at Blue Bear Mountain and I'll keep coming back. It's a quiet and peaceful place to enjoy nature. They have some hiking trails and if you love to watch the sunrise, this is the campground for you!

Motorcycle parking is at the office. don't drive any farther . No good place to turn around . The sites are nice . I had a grill camp fire level spad for the tent and a picnic table. Very quiet. A

Amazing facility. Staff is very friendly. They are very helpful, yet not intrusive like a lot of other campgrounds. The amount of space in between sites, both R.V and tent, is awesome. Great, well marked hiking trails, and very clean bathrooms. I highly recommend this campground.

This was an awesome campground! We enjoyed our peaceful and relaxing time here. Sites have 20,30, and 50 AMP service and you must fill your water tank at the bath house on your way in. The bath house was one of the cleanest I have seen. We think this might be our new yearly getaway for mom and dad! Campsite staff were extremely nice. Looking forward to the next trip!

Great family campground. The staff is very friendly and hard working. Cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen at a campground and the private showers had plenty of hot water. We camped in the open field since we had children and had a great time. There are also remote camp sites which looked great for those who wanted some privacy or a more rustic experience.

Great campground. The people running the place are what make it 5 stars. Pam and Mike were great to work with and you could tell they made a priority of being welcoming and accommodating.
The weather can turn on a dime, so be prepared for high winds or rain at any point.

My sons and I head up to Ashe county for turkey hunting trout fishing and guitar playing. I discovered this campground last season. Really nice and helpful staff and beautiful place. Unlike some other private campgrounds, facilities were nearly new and well kept. We'll be there in the next couple of weeks. You can't go wrong here.

One of the best camp sites I've stayed at in a very long time! Camp host was very nice and generous, wonderful atmosphere! The showers were pristine!!!
