Stayed here 5 nights 10/22-10/27. 1st. time camping here but will be back ! Nice spacious sites ,nice people and bath house's we're immaculate at all times. Very peaceful and quiet. Close to Jefferson and West Jefferson.
Other tips, Rodie's restaurant has great sandwiches and only .5 mile from campground. Winner's circle restaurant in Jefferson has great breakfast and lunch/ dinner. Also Boondocks has great food.
Shopping in downtown West Jefferson great also and all close.response / report this review -

This is our first time here. CG, bath house, campsites are all very nice and very clean. Staff has been very nice and we are not seasonal campers and are only here for a few days. Don't know who these snowflakes are who are posting the crybaby reviews. This place is great and we will be back.

Billie Ray and the rest of the staff could not be nicer or more accommodating! The campground is predominantly seasonal, but there are numerous regular sites available. Modern bath houses are meticulously maintained. I can't wait to go back!

I have been camping at RH for 13 yrs. with no major problems until the past two trips. Short version- Front office staff is rude and the Maintenance guy is rude and not very helpful. I spent 2 hours of my time doing his job. The new owners seem to be nice but they need to pay attention to the lack of customer service being provided by staff.
On the bright side. The lady that currently Takes care of housecleaning does an excellent job and she is super nice!response / report this review -

Everyone was so polite both workers and neighbors. Each bathroom and shower was perfectly clean. I was amazed when I found there was a church. I would recommend Racoon Holler Campground.

Pretty nice campground, but tent camping is a large sloped hill - impossible to find a flat area. They obviously do not care about tent campers. Don't stay here, unless you want to roll out of bed.

I've been coming here at least 15 years. .
Nice peaceful and very clean
Lots of things to do and see with an hours drive in any direction. .
Clean bath houses and plenty of hot water
Lots of nice independent eateries all around
15 minutes to West Jefferson, where you can enjoy lots of things to see and do. .Be sure to eat at Boondocks on main streetresponse / report this review
