A very nice hotel but not nearly as nice as they’d like to portray. There absolutely great things here- a very attractive lobby, a standout spa, and nicely stocked minibar. Most of the staff are quite friendly and courteous. They do need to train their valets—open the passenger’s door. His manners were also subpar. Also when checking, we asked the “concierge” for champagne to be sent up. She needed to check on it(?) and came back to let us know we could order it from room service when getting to the room. Mostly good but they need some help to be as a hotel as they’re hoping people will think they are.

Spa, pool, common area with lovely fireplaces are great. Rooms are comfortable, and the staff are just lovely and so kind. Four stars only because the rooms and decor are dated and the rates (as with most things Boulder) are very high.

Service far above the price. Nice location downtown Boulder. Restaurant is excellent and bar is quaint with a beautiful warm fireplace to congregate around. Come for the food and scenery, but the service is what makes the stay! We will be back!

When we had a potential problem with 1 of 3 spa reservations (computer glitch) Lina and Susan (spa manager, I think) went way above and beyond to make everything right! This was on a Saturday, and there were no additional appointments available. I explained that this was a treat for my 75th Birthday and we were driving to Boulder from Denver. Lina somehow worked her magic, and fixed the problem, and Susan did everything possible to make sure we were happy (we certainly were)! I don't think this was easy to do, but it was much appreciated. This business understands customer service, and they clearly value their customers. When we arrived, the spa was relaxing and immaculate. Our services with Jen, Jill, and Michelle were amazing. I can't recommend this spa highly enough. These people - and the spa - made my Birthday!

I recently stayed at the St Julien in July 2021 and it was amazing! The location of the St Julien simply CANNOT be beat. You have direct access to Pearl Street with its many shops, restaurants, live entertainment and more. The staff at St Julien are incredibly accommodating and provide 5 star service to their guests, even with limited staffing due to industry shortages these days. I would gladly stay here time and time again and recommend it to friends and family!

I’ve traveled enough to know the difference between good and great. Good? Clean towels, fresh linens, a nice staff, decent restaurant and an inviting atmosphere.
Great? The St. Julien. Everyone who works there couldn’t be nicer or more knowledgeable about the property, where to eat, what to do etc The hotel itself is perfectly executed from a design standpoint; the black and white marble stairway with brass railing pays homage to the grand hotels of past whilst dropping one into a modern but yet very cozy lobby.
The room itself was just splendid with its oversized bathroom and wide assortment of the type of bath products I use at home; not corporate but natural, this sets the tone for the approach of the entire property. Highly recommend this gem when staying in Boulder.response / report this review -

The St Julien is a wonderful luxury hotel right in the middle of downtown Boulder. It has modern amenities and looks recently renovated. The staff is fast, kind and helpful. It is within walking distance of a bunch of restaurants which is very convenient. I didn't get to try the Spa but there was quiet a few positive experiences from talking with other guests.

Really enjoy the hotel and the picturesque Flatirons room view. Love the amenities, especially the bathtub. Not a big fan of the large and lanky furnitures in the room though. Definitely needed more space to store clothes for longer stays. Jill's restaurant in the premise serves delicious breakfast.

As an absolute self proclaimed hotel expert, I have had the opportunity to review many hotels throughout the world. St. Julien is special, set up against the Flat Irons in downtown Boulder. Last time we stayed here, Kevin Costner was at the bar downstairs, as his son was graduating from CU and he was staying here. You will usually find someone famous staying here, as it's the only top notch hotel in Boulder. Rooms were great, always clean. Pool is awesome, nobody around when we were there. You do pay for quality, especially in Boulder. But to be expected, so if you can - stop by and have a drink in the bar, you may find yourself staying the night like we did.

I visited the St. Julien for an all-day conference in the Xanadu Ballroom. The hotel is very nice. It has a big lobby with a high ceiling and a comfortable seating area to relax in next to the huge gas fire. The meeting facilities are nice, but nothing special. The food provided was very tasty and had several healthy options. I didn't get to see any rooms because I was not an overnight guest, but I imagine they are quite nice and wouldn't hesitate to stay here if I came in from out of town looking for something on the high end.

Awesome! Best customer service I have ever experienced. I had a flat tire, the valet gentleman put my spare on. I forgot some pants, they actually looked for them in the laundry after the maid had cleaned the room and sent them to my personal home via FedEx. Clean rooms, wonderful staff, great food, amazing customer service. Worth every penny.

I had such a great experience at this beautiful hotel in downtown Boulder. I live in Boulder and have gone to this hotel for dinner and music many times and finally tried the spa. What a beautiful spa! I had the hour massage and I felt so spoiled and pampered the whole time. The waiting area is really relaxing with flavored fruit spa water and light snacks and you can use their pool and spa before or after your service. They do not rush you out which makes for a very relaxing afternoon! I highly recommend the spa at St. Julien!

The hotel definitely makes a good first impression. The spa makes a good second impression. I was able to get a same date appointment, which I was very grateful for. The people at the spa were professional and seemed to enjoy their work. This place had a fun atmosphere. The pool could use sprucing. The food brought to the outdoor patio while, I was still in my robe, was delicious and hot.

This was the absolute WORST massage I have EVER had!!! All she did was rub my skin there was no massaging whatsoever. I've been working 12-17 hour days 6-7 days a week and finally after a month and a half of working like this I decided to take the day off and treat myself to a massage. This was the absolute worst way to spend $120 and the day off. I will now have to wait another month and a half and take my business elsewhere. I've had better massages at Massage Envy for a third of the cost!!!

Beautiful, close to good food/shops and community conscious! Love it!
Stayed at this hotel when I came to visit and absolutely loved it. Beautiful hotel, awesome spa (a bit pricey but worth it) and really close to the Pearl Street Mall which has tons of good food. The other day I volunteered at Harvest of Hope food pantry and was surprised to hear that the St Julien donates weekly. I have stayed at this hotel twice once, about 10 years ago and then yesterday. I remember this hotel being so posh and elegant and I was so disappointed. First of all I can't believe 1 night for a "city view" room costs $520, I find that just absurd. The room wasn't anything to brag about, it looked like a room in the Hilton. We were told her would complimentary breakfast and that was not accurate. In addition to the cost, that did not include the over night valet which was an extra $20. Although the spa/massage was great and the staff was very polite, I would not ever return. So sad, The Hotel St. Julien is a "has been" for sure.

The hotel itself is very nicely furnished, the location and view of the mountains is absolutely gorgeous. The staff were some of the nicest I've ever encountered, always smiling, friendly, and helpful no matter what. And the food was absolutely exquisite with the most variety I've ever seen! The Fathers Day brunch at the St Julien made me want to get married there in a few months!

Excellent spa. Attentive staff. Decent robes provided. Sauna and steam room available. Co-ed lounge area does not have an overwhelming number of amenities, but there isn't any need for you to spend time there unless you choose to. Well equipped treatment room.
