Very nice, cozy place to stay. Pet friendly as well and that's a plus. Staff is very nice. Place is old so the doors stick but that's no issue at all. Only complaint is the room we stayed in (Dunes) did not have a temp control for the room and it got very hot in there at times.

This place was so quaint and cozy it truly felt like a home away from home. The inn keeper stayed on the premises so she was always there if needed. It is definitely in a prime location as well.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is great. The room had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. But other than these positives, this “quaint” hotel left much to be desired. Suffice to say, that it is long overdue for a significant makeover.

Our room was very small, which is okay for those who will be taking advantage of the many available activities. Every room seems to be available to the wrap around decks, which provides a pleasant opportunity to watch the world go by.

But, in a word, the place is run down. Our family has enjoyed vacations to Saint George since before this inn was built. But I don’t think it’s been updated since.

Our visit was in early February, 2018.

Old Southern Charm. Super nice and friendly staff. Outstanding vintage accommodations. Perfect location. Perfect price. I've been staying here for almost 30 years. This place will always be part of my St George Island retreats and adventures. For a few nights or a few months, either way, Mr Olivier and Melinda and Melanie are simply delightful. Family friendly and pet friendly. Amazing! every single time.

Loved our stay here. The rooms were comfy and the hotel has that beautiful old world charm we love to find when traveling. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and when we decided to stay an extra day, they moved our room with no issues as our current room had been booked. They even let us move early once the new room was done. The hotel is right in the middle of the island, making everything- food, beach, lighthouse etc, within walking distance. St George is also a short drive to Apalachicola, which is full of great little shops and cafes. We will definitely be back to stay here!

Nice staff but the room was one of the "non-renovated rooms". Roughest hotel room I've ever stayed in. The booking agent who took my deposit should have told be beforehand of the condition!! Some rooms are renovated so make sure you check before you book. The outside and lobby are nice for a smaller hotel.

This place is ok to stay for a night. Wouldn't want to stay for an extended time. My reason is that the rooms are in need of restoration and updating. I really liked the high ceilings and the staircase. The folks who operate the place seemed to be good folks. With all that being said I can understand why it hasn't been renovated with a limited amount of rooms that means limited revenue especially when insurance is through the roof. Also the place is decently clean.

From my first call to the Inn to fix a mistake I made while booking online, our stay has not been anything less than perfect. Malinda fixed our problem over the phone and greeted us with a warm smile and went above and beyond to answer any questions and tested us like long time friends. The Inn was clean, the bed was great, Melanie and all the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. We have zero complaints, perfect first to SGI vacation.

The room had a rustic beach vibe. It was small but comfortable for the price. Staff was friendly and efficient. Bottom of shower was very slippery.

This place is home away from home! The ladies at the desk are warm and welcoming and treat you like family. This is not your run of the mill motel. It's charming and every room is different! No numbers, the rooms have names and themes. I've read some of the bad reviews on here. When I got there, I ask the lady if she minded showing me some rooms before I checked in. She showed me several on the first, second and third floor; I LOVED THEM ALL! They are in the middle of remodeling (not noisy) I can't wait to come back!!!
A few improvements:
POOL please!--New tables and chairs for the rooms-curtains for the windows-larger ice machine- soda & snack machines-More "home" touches, accent pieces

The beds were not clean. There was either sand or detergent in the sheets that caused my son to break out in a rash in just one evening. If it was sand I am disappointed in the housekeeping. If it was detergent sheets should have been re washed with that much residue. I was in town for a family wedding and this was the closest place to stay with family from so far out of town.

Nice little place close to the public beach and eating establishments on St George Island. The Neptune rim was clean, spacious, and had all the amenities you need for a one night, weekend, or week long stay. Fridge, stove, dishes, etc. Melissa who checked us in was great and im sure if we needed anything, she would have been right there to help! Would recommend staying here.

Very unhappy with our last stay. The king bed was the most uncomfortable bed we have ever experienced. The sheets had sand all over them, which made us feel that they were not changed after the last occupants!!! When we complained, we were told that the sheets were definitely changed and that the sand was probably coming up from the mattress. Sounded a bit far fetched to me. Also, there was toothpaste splatter all over the bathroom mirror from previous occupants, further making us feel it wasn't properly cleaned between guests. Made me feel icky..couldn't wait to leave the next day!!! Will NEVER stay there again!!

We rented what we believed was a 2 bedroom suite on the 3rd floor,. The pictures posted on the website made it look lovely. Turned out to be 2 bedrooms with no living space. We had to walk through one bedroom to get to the other, so there was no privacy. The private balcony was hot and dirty - the air conditioner vented onto it and also flooded it with condensation/water. Maid service showed up once and only made one bed. Coffee maker took 45 minutes to make 10 cups of coffee. It was an awful experience and we will not be back.

Stayed here on my honeymoon sixteen years ago and we had a wonderful experience. We stayed in the jacuzzi suite, it was nice to sit out on the balcony at night and listen to the waves and enjoy a cocktail. The only thing was the band that was playing next door it was load and we could hear everything and it was hard to sleep with music blaring. I was thinking about going back but after reading the reviews it sounds like it has gotten worse not better.
