I never expected to get the great experience I got dealing with Scotty, Keith, and Danny while build my 07 Wrangler. The wealth of knowledge and customer service I received while buying parts was great and I learned a lot from the guys. They dont make you feel like you dont know anything like the competition down the street. They actually look out for customer.

I'm giving this shop 5 stars based off of the finished product I received and the constant communication between the staff and I. The shop ran into an issue with ARB and the OME springs I originally requested. Turns out ARB shipped them the wrong springs (mislabeled or something) and the correct springs were back ordered. Southern Off Road was super transparent through all of the setbacks and they got my approval on some picky things like tire rub on the UCA at full lock. This whole experience gave me the impression that they care about the final end user experience a great deal.

They ended using the factory springs and did not charge me a dime for OME springs they had already purchased. Pricing on all of this was super fair. Parts costs right at what I found on the internet and the labor was reasonable. It sucked having to give up the truck over night while they worked through the issues with my lift but I'm glad they persisted on getting the job done correctly.

These folks know what they are doing. This is the best place around for your offroad needs or vehicle maintenance. Dont waste your time with small shade tree shops. Southern Off Road has all the skill and resources for your needs. (05 duramax 2500 HD, 10 inch cognito lift, 40 inch tires) Big trucks do not lie!

I cannot say enough about the quality and affordable work these guys do. I had a 6" Rough Country lift and N-fab bars installed by them in 2016. The work was flawless and has made for a very good looking truck that I will keep forever. The guys were also very helpful on separate occasions in installing new spark plugs and a starter for my F150. Give them a try for any of your off road vehicle needs!

If there was any way to give Southern Off Road ZERO stars I would.

I took a jeep XJ in for a front end alignment after a tie rod end was replaced on the track bar by another shop.(this shop did not do alignments)

Southern Off Road's technician (who also claimed to be the manager) reported that the female threads on the track bar were worn and prevented them from even getting the tie rod to thread in .thus a new track bar AND tie rod end were required.

I was not particularly happy to hear this since I had just paid another shop for a new tie rod.but I went ahead and took Southern Off Road's advice..

So.. a $98 alignment is now nearly $400 with a new track bar, tie rod end and labor..

When I picked up the XJ.I requested the old bar and tie rod end..ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS THREADING IN THE TIE ROD.. THEY LIED ABOUT THE NEED FOR A NEW TRACK BAR.WOULD NOT REFUND MY MONEY..THE TECHNICIAN THAT SAID HE WAS THE MANAGER HAS ABOSLUTLY ZERO BUSINESS SENSE

I was a repeat customer.having spent over $2k with this shop in 2016 alone

They will never get a dime of my money again and I can't recommend this shop to anyone

I hesitate to write this review, as I have not yet received my vehicle from the service department here. That said, I'm afraid I'll forget my frustration when (if) they ever finish my Jeep. I dropped off my 1995 Wrangler to get a new fuel pump and fuel filter replaced, as well as have a few other things checked (check engine light and noise in suspension). A week after I dropped it off, I had not heard from them. I called, and was told I'd be called back with a status update. Didn't happen. I gave it a few more days and called back to be told they would call me back with an update. Again, didn't happen. The third time I complained loudly and again was told I'd be given a call back. I finally received a call and gave them the go-ahead to make necessary repairs. This, evidently, was a bad idea. As I write this, it has been another week without a single update. I just hung up the phone with a guy there who said he'd be calling me back with an update. I'm not holding my breath. They've had my Jeep for three weeks now and have yet to call me a single time without being verbally prodded (on multiple occasions) to do so. I will update this review once the work is done assuming they ever finish the job. I'm hoping they see this post and respond with a little more haste. Again, not holding my breath.

An update: The manager there admitted dropping the ball and has called me since with several updates on my Jeep. He removed the charge for inspecting my vehicle and is also getting me a free part. So, the rating for this company is starting to rise in my book, as I appreciate them making amends. I'll make a final post once the work is done with notes on quality of work.

Another update: There is a day and night difference in the communication now. I was called often with updates. Finally picked up my Jeep and they gave me a significant discount on labor and parts due to the incredibly long wait time. I think this is fair and I appreciate them doing that. The work on the Jeep appeared to be very well done. It is now driving better than it has since I bought it. What started off as a 1-star review has climbed to a 3-star review based on the quality of work (5-star) and the vast improvement in communication.
