I paid for my parents marker on May 23, 2017 and was told I would need to wait 4 months for delivery. I was at the office early October and was told the marker was going to be delivered October 30th. I inquired again at the end of October and was told 2 more weeks. Once again, I inquired at the end of November and was told a truck shipment was coming next week but they are unable to verify which markers would be delivered. I demanded to speak with the manager, Mike and got no answers. Kim from the office then said she was sorry to inform me but the company they use, Matthews Specialty, has claimed bankruptcy. I was able to contact Matthews and was informed they did NOT file bankruptcy.
I was promised Barbara would contact me and she has not. There is absolutely no customer service and the personnel has not been truthful with me. Beware!!
I live out of state but visit the cemetery at least once a year. Since last year the roads have gotten horrible and the care, other than just cutting the grass, is not there at all. My mother's plate had the integrated vase broken and taken away several years ago by maintenance and we were told it would be replaced and it has not. If you are not there very frequently to clean off the plate, it is covered with growth of grass over it. The little care that was there has significantly gotten much worse. Not happy!
I went 3 days before my mom passedNovember 18th.she passed the 22nd 2017. November 18th .everything was paid in full.
I paid 900 something for them to open the ground and 700 something for vault for urnwhich I thought meant under the stone that was there with my father's veteran plaque.no they opened it at the bottom of grave.
Today is August 2nd, 2017 and I still have no name plate on marker for my mom.
Was told when I paid it would be in when ground thawed around memorial day.
NOTHING!!!!
And the grass is so grown over grave you can barely see my dad's full nameor the holes where my mom's name plate goes.
Time to call the news or my lawyer!!!
New owners are not taking the job of caring for people's loved ones places of peace!
My grandmother is buried there in November 2016 still does not have her headstone it's been 7 months already. My aunt paid for it early thinking it would be put in the ground after the winter months. The lady told my aunt it would be there before Memorial Day. Well that came and went still no headstone. Then she told her by the end of June well it's the middle of June and still nothing there yet. My sister goes every Sunday to clean there grave sites my grams and paps. Always dirty never clean around the headstones. She was just there today. She said grass needs cut bad and there was so many weeds with so many bees. My great grandmother and great grandfather is buried there also. There headstone is sinking in the ground. From it sinking in the ground the headstone cracked. We asked them who's responsibility is it to fix the headstone. They said it was our responsibility. First off it's ur ground that's sinking and ruining people's headstones. How is that our fault. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Over the years it has gone down the drain. Horrible.
I am very disappointed. It has been almost 18 months since my beloved was laid to rest. The only reason I used them is because our infant daughter was laid there about 15 years ago. I never expected my wife to pass, but her bench marker has never been installed. I have been told different reasons as to why it's not there yet. Come on, let's get your story straight! IF it was in my budget, I would first have both my daughter and my beloved wife moved to a more suitable location where promises are kept, and where people are courteous. This is all I ask for, that the suitable marker I bought and paid for be installed in a timely manner. My question remains, is this a lost art among the living?
Cemetery, the pond is rumored to be very deep and contain many vehicles among other things.
My family paid for my grandmothers marker January 2016. We never heard from the staff there about the next steps, finally I stopped into the office the marker was signed off on June 2016. They have yet to install the marker. Caroline has been horrible to work with. She told my mother it would be installed in October. I went to see the new marker and found not only was it not installed they removed my grandfathers marker that had been there since 1960s without even marking where they are buried. I stopped into the office on two more occasions, and Caroline told me the marker was delayed in production 4-6 weeks she would call me back and let me know. She still never called me back. My brother called and Barbara said she would call back with and update. Now she isn't calling back. I guess once this place has your money, remembering your loved ones doesn't become important to them. Really sad that this place is under new management and this is the way they treat their clients. I would never recommend this place to ANYONE.
I love this place cause this is where my mom & grandparents are buried at. I've been coming here since I was 4. It's peaceful & always well kept.
It's a beautiful place full of beautiful souls..the roads are Verrry bumpy !😞
My family has used this cemetery since 1956. My grandparent, aunts, uncles, cousins are buried here. When my father was alive, he would go to the cemetery and cut the grass and clean off the graves. It is my understanding that this cemetery has changed hands a number of times over the years. In the last 3 years we have buried 3 family members there and it has been NOTHING BUT A NIGHTMARE! It took 3 years and several disputes to get a scroll on my mother's marker. There was an issue with the ground sinking and the makers being taken up and they weren't put back in the proper order. I would move my parents out of there if my sister would agree to it. I wouldn't recommend Restland to anyone. This has NOT been a pleasant experience. It won't let me post without giving it a star..but it does not deserve 1 star!
