This is such a lovely B&B! The owners were friendly and hospitable, the room was comfortable and the view was beautiful. And the breakfast was delicious! I definitely recommend this place. Also it's within walking distance of a small Beach and only a mile from downtown St. Joseph and the main beach. We will definitely be returning.

My husband and I had an amazing experience! Bill and Mark are awesome and the breakfast was to die for. I also forgot my running shoes and they sent them to me using express shipping! We can't wait to go back next year!

I stayed at The South Cliff Inn last weekend and had a fantastic time. The innkeeper, Bill, was extremely welcoming from the time I called to make my reservation. He was there for suggestions as well as maintaining interaction with his guests. My fiancee and I chose The Morning Room. We didn't need a huge room so this was perfect. Although it was right next to the front door and the closest room to the road, it was not near as noisy as I would have expected. With the blinds open there was a ton of natural light. The breakfasts were amazing all weekend and being able to wake up and have a cup of coffee on the deck overlooking the lake was a great experience. There is also wine and cheese offered in the evenings which was a great way to take a break and relax from all of the activities in the area. The location is just minutes from downtown Saint Joseph allowing easy access to multiple beaches, restaurants, shops, and other attractions. This was our first bed and breakfast stay and we will be sure to return.

Pear rum coffee cake. So good. We would never have guessed it was gluten-free if it hadn't been labelled as such. Be sure to spend some sunset time out on the lookout deck - you won't get a better view anywhere. This was my wife's favorite part about staying here. We stayed in the Study Room, but got a peek at several of the other rooms between guests. No matter what room you stay in, the lookout deck and the deck adjacent to the house offer plenty of opportunity for lounging/reading outside with a lake view. The Study and Sunset rooms include private decks with the same view, but with a little more seclusion. The Morning Room is near the entrance, so it probably has the most noise from people coming and going, as well as the traffic from the road. Every room is nice enough, some just larger or more outfitted (with a jacuzzi or balcony) than others. Breakfast is buffet-style and anything lacking in this style of presentation is made up for by the fact that you can eat as much as your heart desires. Each breakfast included a couple savory items, a couple sweet items, fruit, toast, orange juice, coffee, and tea. Bill is a great host, very welcoming, and a great cook.
