William Garner was very patient and helpful with helping me. I would definitely recommend my friends to come there. 😊
Sons Honda clearly and blatantly tried to swindle me. I went in with transmission issues, and Sons Honda informed me that I needed my clutch replaced for $2000($2300 after tax and extra fees). I got a second opinion from my mechanics that I usually use, and they said that the job should only cost $1500(and this isn't the worst part). So I decided to take my car into my trusted car shop to have them diagnose the transmission issue, and it turned out that my clutch was perfectly fine. The issue was an incredibly simple transmission fluid line bleed to get air out of it; fixed the problem for less than $100. This saved me $2000 dollars, and concerns me about the integrity and honesty of Sons Honda. It seems to me that they didn't even bother to actually try to find the issue, but were very keen on taking my money for a false issue; a lie essentially. I'd steer clear of this dealership and go with a smaller and more trustworthy shop to resolve any ACTUAL issues.
Well, our experience was exceptional and all because of our salesman Sunny. I called Wednesday evening just before closing to ask about a CRV. He told me what he could do and came thru with it. I am sure we were highly entertaining! Sunny was honest and direct which is of the utmost importance and he has a sense of humor! I highly recommend that you come here and be sure to ask for him because he makes the difference.
This dealership and service center is an absolute joke. They cannot help you with anything you come in for. All they ever refer back to is the warranty. I would have never bought a Honda if I knew the customer service was horrible as well as the car quality. As I am reading these other recent reviews, I realize it is not just myself with problems with the service departments. Seems as if this is a management issue that has twinkled down to the employees. Obviously a company more about the money rather than integrity and customer service.
GREAT customer service best place I could've purchased a car for my mom from. Very fair and willing to accommodate.
Our AC went out suddenly on a road trip from Florida to Tennessee. We stopped here to get our CRV looked at. I trust my Honda dealer back home, so I figured we'd be ok here. They got us into a rental to finish the rest of the trip with the plan to pick my car up on the way back. We get to Tennessee and they call and say it's a $1300 repair for the compressor. Even though it's the clutch. They say it's cheaper to replace the whole thing because the labor to replace just the clutch would be astronomical. The same thing went out on my Saturn and it was about $400 to repair. At this point, I'm ready to call BS on this. Dude says the part is $900 alone. So I get the part number and tell him I will call him back. At that point, he starts saying he only has 10 minutes to order the part to get it in time. They were keeping my car for 4 days and they only have 10 minutes to order the part?? Obviously trying to pressure me into making a decision because he knows we are out of state. What can I even do? Drive 5 hours back and take it to another dealer? So I called my dealer back home and gave them the part number, and they said the part is $600 and the repair is under warranty from Honda, and that this dealer should know that. So I call back Sons and they didn't give me the full part number information. Turns out it is two parts. One is $600 and the other $300. And that Honda extended the warranty on some of the same model and year as my car, but not mine. So no warranty on the repair. Honda corporate will hear from me on that. I will give them a chance to make it right. So we have no choice but to get the repair done. I authorize them to use the after market part, which is about $400 cheaper than using the Honda part. We go on with our trip and stop on the way back to pick up the car from the dealer. They tell us it's $1500!! At this point, my husband lets them have it, and they offer to take off $100. Nobody called at any point to say it would be more, and we never authorized more. Ridiculous. So we left and started driving down the highway. The icing on the cake? They didn't close the hood all the way and it started moving around like it was about to fly up and hit the windshield! If you are on a road trip and need some repairs, DO NOT GO HERE. The only reason they are getting 2 stars instead of 1 is because the repair seems to be done well and they replaced the airbags that were recalled.
EDIT 9/6: That $100 credit they gave us off the bill? Apparently they didn't actually give us a credit. They passed it along to Enterprise to charge us the difference. Crooks and liars.
Long waits to get car serviced does not thoroughly check out maintenance checks on serviced vehicles have had problems with the service personnel as to accurately checking vehicles. Fluids not serviced and was told they were fine when they actually needed service . After we took the car back and $800 later for breaks and rotors which should have been discoverd to begin with , after the brakes were replaced by them around 30000 miles ago. Looks like their service isn't as good as it should be. suppose they had failed in the meantime it could have been very bad. Are they not responsible for the safety of their customers by the work done on the cars they service ? very irresponsible if you ask me
Matt was absolutely AMAZING! He was knowledgeable and pleasant from the very beginning. Matt was very patient with me through my indecisiveness and was still just as nice when I shared with him that I decided to go elsewhere to find what I really wanted. He did all he could to helpliterally went above and beyond to the 3rd power. You will be served with honor and respect here. Thanks again for everything!
Sunny was just awesome!
This is my forth vehicle from Sons and the experience continues to be honest and straightforward. Sunny was always great at getting back to me and respected my desire to communicate primarily by email. The only dealer that was willing to give me up front pricing. Will definitely be back
I'm really disappointed with the customer service I received. I ordered one part that cost me ~$48 (including the shipping). I knew there was going to be a 20% restocking fee, but they won't comp return shipping. If I returned this part, I would only net $12 back, even considering the fact that the package is still totally unopened. That is ridiculous and worth it to me to keep it it in order to prevent them from ripping someone else off. Don't pursue online ordering here unless you want to lose a lot of money.
I actually had an incredibly great experience with the service department. That's where the greatness ended, however. I bought a used car. I was assured I would get 2 keys - is that too much to ask? More than 2 months of endless phone calls & unanswered texts to my lame salesman yielded nothing. I got an email asking how my oil change was, I expressed my dissatisfaction with Sons & the service guy took care of getting me a second key in 3 days!!!! Why couldn't this have been done initially?!
And then they didn't apply for my plate. 40 of the 45 days on my temporary tag came & went. I ended up calling, and at that time they requested proof of insurance & emissions - the hadn't even applied for the tag. I was also told I could keep my specialty plate from my old car. Nope! Received a generic plate more than 3 months after I purchased the car. When I called back to get this straightened out, the woman who screwed it up in the first place wouldn't take ownership of her mishandling & would dodge phone calls. Fortunately the customer service manager actually cares & knows how to do his job. He straightened it out.
My problems were relatively small/inexpensive and Sons dragged them out so long. I can't imagine the level if frustration if I had to deal with Sons on a large issue.
Stick with the service department but avoid sales department here at all cost.
I live near Charlotte, NC and was looking for a good lightly used Lincoln Navigator. When one showed up in my internet searches at Sons Honda, I called and first spoke with Anthony, Sales Manager. He was very helpful and agreed to have someone send some video of the car so I could get a better sense for the overall condition of the vehicle before traveling 4 hours to the dealership. Sunny, the Internet Sales Manager sent me a video and was very accommodating when I asked for a second video of specific areas of the vehicle. Sunny also arranged putting a hold on the vehicle late on Friday so no one would buy it before we arrived mid day Saturday. The guys were expecting us when we arrived Saturday and thankfully the vehicle was in like new condition as portrayed in the videos. We also had the privilege of meeting Tony, the Salesman who took the vehicle in on trade. He was able to tell us a little bit about the previous owner and he offered to call him if we had any questions for him, which was a great gesture that we may take him up on. Our experience was that Sons Honda has quality vehicles, great prices, and excellent customer service. I'd like to offer a big Thank You! to everyone at the dealership who assisted with our purchase.
I love bringing my CR-V here for service. The service is awesome and the staff is always amazing. My favorite rep is Jessica! She's always going above and beyond!! Ask for Jess, tell her Rochelle sent you!
I needed to get work done on my 2002 Honda Accord, which a few smaller shops couldn't correctly diagnose. Sons Honda did the diagnosis, which took longer than expected, in the last two hours that they were open on a Friday. I worked with Jessica, Nina, and Reed, over a two-day period and they were all friendly and helpful. I've had a few other smaller jobs done here last year like my AC compressor and the service was great then too. Despite having an older car that isn't in the best of shape, they still treated me like an important customer, which is why I'll keep going back.
