There was a pretty long wait at sokongdong tofu house when we went on a Sunday night around 7. However they were pretty accommodating with our larger party. While we waiting we went a couple doors down to kungfu tea. The meals come with banchan (the side dishes) and they have soft tofu soups as well as meats. The spicy is actually pretty spicy and overall it was high quality and authentic.

If you’re on Buford Highway, this is a must-visit. For two people, would recommend splitting a combo of BBQ ribs and tofu soup.

Their wait staff is fantastic (especially Josh), and the food speaks for itself.

The only downside is there is often a wait - probably because everyone else agrees that this place is exceptional.

With so many choices along Buford Hwy, it's difficult to decide where to grab a meal. I would highly recommend So Kong Dong Tofu House. The food is authentic and delicious; the price reasonable.

I had the seafood tofu jjigae, and it was great. The taste didn't blow me away, but I would definitely return in the future. They allow you to customize the spiciness of the dish, so it's great for those who can't handle spice or want extra spice.

The side dishes were relatively limited compare to many other Korean restaurants, but they compensated with fish as a side. If you like fish (like me), this is great news. If not, you might want to visit another Korean restaurant for more side dish variety.

Next time you're driving along Buford Hwy and crave some Korean food, try So Kong Dong for a satisfying meal.

I am not a Korean food expert but this place sure hit me by surprise. Out side of the store the place looks a bit scare at times. inside is quite old looking but authentic is the word. foods are deliver close to what you would see on Korean tv (haven't been to Korea yet! and can't wait til my chance to go). What really caught me by surprise was my daughter dropped a spoon while playing around and the very busy waitress (very busy night) is standing right beside me 5 seconds later with a new spoon! those are the kind of thing i expect when I pass through Korea and Japan airports!

The best place in Atlanta Korean tofu soup and other awesomely delicious Korean food. The service can be spotty but it's because they are always ultra busy. Easily some of the best food I've ever eaten. You've gotta try it!

The tofu soup is really a nice one. I ordered mild spicy and it was perfect for me. Regular spicy looked a bit spicy for non-spicy eating person.
The reason of giving 3 stars was due to the cockroach moving on the floor and the waiter crushed it with his foot, picked it up with a napkin, and brought it. Need to work on hygiene.

One of the best tofu soup in Atlanta. Both the broth and tofu are really good. You can choose how spicy you want, but it spicier than most places. Their normal is spicy at most places. The seafood pancakes are good also.

I don't think I could ever get tired of this place. Best tofu soup with just the right about of spice in it. Best beef ribs I've had in a while and a great variety of side dishes. Beats any other tofu soup I've had in my lifetime and I just love the atmosphere and decor. Highly recommend.

The tofu soup is pretty good. When I get a chance I get their combo with short ribs and tofu soup. Their bonchons change regularly, but most of the time they are good. One of my favorite spots on Buford Highway.

My son, the chef, brought us here for a birthday meal - what fun - stuffed at the end. Many appetizer plates come with the meal with kimchi, pickled radish, this and that, and a fried fish - quite tasty. The tofu soups appear to share a similar broth but have different add-ins and come bubbling in a pot to the table when the waitress cracks a raw egg into each bowl - wonderful. We had the scallion pancake, thin slice beef rib and a cold noodle dish - all good.

You want Good Korean Tofu Soup inside the perimeter? Here is definitely your choice.

I enjoy the soup here and basically that's the only reason why I will come.

Small dishes are great too but with less choices now. I remember how much I love the potatoes mashed cups.
Also I found out they have raised the price recently!

I love this place. Very friendly workers and service. I'm a regular and they already know what I want when I show up. Not sure if the taste is super authentic because I'm not Korean, but the tofu soup tastes amazing to me! I always get the dumpling tofu soup. I'm very pleased with the pricing because for about $7, you get the main soup plus a bunch of side dishes. Lastly, their kalbi is INSANELY TASTEFUL!

Customer service was nice. This place provided
hot tea the moment we sat down. The Korean BBQ was the best that I have tasted. Though, the portion is small. If you're looking for a meat buffet, this is not it (go to Iron Age or so).

I had the spicy seafood and beef tofu soup. What I really like about the soup was the tofu and the levels of spice. Their spiciest level had a kick to it, but it was not spicy to me. Note that I eat spicy on a daily basis though.

I did not like how they charge extra for more rice.
