I am relatively new to the Salisbury area with 5 pets including 3 Yorkies, a Pit-Mix, and a cat. I began taking my fur-babies to SAM&S week before last when one of my Yorkies developed an secondary infection on her chest due to scratching. It was early Friday morning, and the upcoming Monday was Memorial Day. I did not want my baby to wait until Tuesday of the following week to get the treatment she needed. After calling several veterinary offices that were full until after the holiday, SAM&S agreed to see her that day. My baby received an antibiotic injection, antibiotic spray to use twice daily and allergy medication to take orally as needed. Although this was not an emergency, it was urgent. Being treated early kept my pet comfortable and possibly prevented a systemic infection which would have been an emergency. I will take all of my pets to SAM&S from now on.

Hi, my name is Calvin. When I first arrived at my new home, Dr. Kirk detected an issue that caused my mom and dad to be quite concerned. After undergoing a medical procedure, I feel a lot better and am very grateful to Dr.Kirk for her knowledge and care.

Dr. Kirk and her entire staff are very friendly, ready to listen, and offer good advice. If you need are in need of a check-up or something more, I highly recommend them.

P.S They offer great treats!

Dr. Kirk & her staff are great! Our big boy (Mojo) absolutely hates his ears being touched, & isn't fond of shots. Dr. Kirk & staff were VERY patient and gentle with him. Dr. Kirk is knowledgeable about Mojos breed (Akita) as she has two herself! She preformed surgery on our small girl Charlie, and we are very pleased with the results! Dr. Kirk & staff leave no question unanswered, & they truly do care about our fur babies' wellbeing! 5 stars are not enough!

Dr. Kirk is the very best and most compassionate veterinarian I've met. She is very knowledgeable and explains things in a way that can be understood, she doesn't ever talk down to anyone. It is obvious that she cares very much for her patients. The staff is friendly, the office is clean and tidy. Very welcoming environment. Everyone within driving distance should take their small and exotic animals to meet Dr. Kirk and her staff!

Dr. Gardner is a Great veterinarian! Our pets have received excellent care at Small Animal Medicine & Surgery and Dr. Gardner always takes time to explain things thoroughly to us.
