My husband and I walked into the dealership with a check in hand, ready to make a deal. Unfortunately, our numbers didn't match which was fine, however; I was told that I would be emailed and contacted with some other options of cars that we could take a look at and discuss some options. That was at least two weeks ago. I haven't gotten a phone call, follow up or even an email. We aren't in a rush to purchase a vehicle but I can honestly say, this was a pretty disappointing experience with Skyland. I've seen the commercials where they pride themselves on having a great reputation and being focused on great customer service but this was not it. We were even considering talking with them about a different vehicle but at this point, they clearly don't need the business. Jewel did an excellent job on helping us and being patient with the buying process, but looking back, the whole experience in itself could've been a lot better.
UPDATE 11/22/17: I called and spoke with Brian in the internet sales department to discuss a new car. He was incredibly helpful and very quick to respond. We worked out a deal via phone then I met later to get the paperwork started and met Javier as well. They were AWESOME. They had all the paperwork right then and there and kept offering to help us or give us anything we needed (I had my 6 month old daughter there) both were incredibly patient and extremely helpful. I bought the exact car that I wanted! This was a complete 180 from our previous experience. I would highly recommend Javier & Brian and I can honestly say that I am extremely happy with my purchase and their attentiveness. Thank you, Skyland!
Jeremy was an amazing dealer and help me out enormously with getting my first car. I was able to get my vehicle with complete protection and be able to drive off with it that day while having no credit. I will always go back to him for my cars.
Jeremy "Dumplin" Shea is the man to see if you need a car, a laugh or a hug! Our family has purchased cars from him for over 25 years. Honest, knows the business and cares about you. Go on down and see him today. You won't regret it. Let me ask you, "when was the last time you bought a car, hugged your salesman and exchanged we love you (whole family) on the way out?"
Sales staff is actually great to deal with; always feel like we get a good deal. We have purchased several vehicles with Dwayne and he is responsive to work with. HOWEVER, I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the service department! I am not certain how after so many years, Matthew Garren is still employed as the Service Dept Manager. Phone calls are never returned, impossible to call and get an update or even make an appointment. I end up just dropping by and leaving my vehicle because I can never get in touch with anyone. They've had my car for over a week and can't get anyone to call me back with an update. Sales guy even went and talked to them a few times, still nothing. For this reason alone, this will be my absolute last purchase from this dealership. I rather drive out of my way for purchasing and servicing my car than deal with Skyland any longer.
Jeremy Shea was the most amazing sales person I have ever dealt with, he was so kind and never made me feel pressured or stupid for any question or concerns. The whole team there welcomed us with a warm smile and heartfelt welcome. Betsy and the rest of the team helped me out with getting into a new safe car before my new baby arrives. I will never run out of good things to say about these people and will forever refer everyone I know to him! I can never thank them enough!
We just returned a Mercedes from a lease there. We did not lease it from there but they we very friendly and gracious. My overall experience was not much different than at any other car dealership. I always leave car dealerships thinking I should have gotten a better deal.
Sam King, our salesman, greeted us warmly, grasped what we were looking for, helped us narrow our options to a couple of certified pre-owned Mercedes. During test drives he informed us of safety, comfort, and engineering aspects of the cars, was patient as we tried to grasp all the new material. My husband is a retired university professor, loves to get ‘silly’ at times, and Sam took it all in stride and even one-upped him once or twice. After selecting our C300, he was efficient with the paperwork, passed us to Betsy in the business office (also very efficient), handed us the keys, and we drove away into the sunset with a beautifully manicured car and a full tank of premium gas. Good place to do business. No problems. We give the service a 5.
I just bought a new 1500 Ram Laramie over Memorial Day weekend, for my company. It's been in the shop twice already with problems (for a total of 3 days downtime in as many weeks), and has ultimately cost my company a couple of grand due to the combined downtime, paying an employee to be stranded a couple of hours from the office at another dealership with his thumb somewhere it probably shouldn't have been, having to hire independent contractors to perform tasks that the employee driving the truck should have been able to do, etc. I would submit that it feels just fine when you climb inside (it's really, really comfortable), but what the truck can do is frankly more important. What it can do with less than 2500 miles on the clock is apparently less than it should.
I can't fault the service from the dealership; they rented a car for my employee and sent him home, and then took the rental car back to the dealership and picked up the truck and delivered it to the office. They went out of their way to make the issue as painless as possible, and did a decent job of it, but it still ultimately cost my company a couple of grand.
I do worry about what happens when it breaks down again and more to the point, what happens when the warranty expires on a truck that's already having issues within days of purchasing it.
I have always owned a Ram for business work, and was really excited to buy a brand new one with all the bells and whistles, but I would be reluctant to recommend that anyone else do the same as a result of the experience over the last couple of weeks.
The sales experience was pretty good, just for reference. Tom and Dwayne worked very hard to match the deal listed, explaining that every Laramie may have a wide range of options and that the closest that they could get to the price was within a hundred or so dollars. Good work on their part. Then my salesman started asking about MY needs, rather than what was being advertised. I bought a slightly more expensive version, with a couple of options that were really beneficial. It took a good while, and some things were not as advertised (there was no navigation as was stated, and no roadside assistance package, as was also stated), but absent those two issues overall, it was a decent purchasing experience.
Edit: For reference, MOPAR did contact me and provide a 5 year roadside assistance package. Not quite a warranty, but at least they will pick me or my employees up if it breaks down again..
Everyone at Skyland was so incredibly helpful and made my very first car buying experience easy. There was no pressure from anyone, they went on a ton of test drives with me to make sure I knew what I wanted, and Skeeter Coin even brought in a new car in the color she knew I really wanted when I came in to buy the next day. There was a slight mistake in the payment process, but Skyland corrected everything promptly. I highly recommend this dealership due to their amazing staff.
I had the most amazing experience buying my new truck from here. Joesph Belcher was awesome!! He listened to my needs and got me what I needed. He was honest, caring, and a lot of fun! This was the BEST experience I've ever had buying a vehicle. The staff was exceptional and friendly from sales (Joesph) to finance (Mark Miller) to insurance personnel. They made me feel like family. I will never buy from another dealership again. Thanks to everyone at Skyland for making me one happy lady!! You guys are awesome!!
I am now the proud owner of a new Jeep Renegade thanks to Rob Denardo. Had an amazing experience. Rob was wonderful! He helped me get the car of my dreams! Everyone at Skyland was so nice and friendly. If you want great service , please go see Rob Denardo!
I had an amazing experience at Skyland Auto!! My salesman, Rob Denardo, was thorough and listened to my needs. I initially went to purchase a used vehicle but he was able to get me a new car at a cheaper price. I am now the proud owner of a 2017 Jeep Renegade. My credit was not perfect due to a recent divorce and they were able to work with me to get me a beautiful new vehicle. This is a huge positive on my part as this will help grow my credit. My two preteens are so excited to ride in our new "cool" car!! I am also glad that my new vehicle is a manual, I never knew how much I missed driving a manual. I am beyond happy and want to thank Skyland Auto for being so amazing!!!
Highly recommend Robert Denardo, 5/5 satisfaction. Great salesman, very respectful, and fast. Met with him for 30 minutes and he found the best car in my budget. Had it ready the next day for pickup.
Awesome experience, Robert Denardo my sales guy and Mark Miller, my finance guy are both incredible. They provided me with the best auto purchase experience ever! Robert did everything he could to find me the car that I love without the high pressure sales tactics. Mark Miller was simply amazing and got me a great interest rate even though my credit was horrible. Thank you guys from a very grateful, satisfied customer!!
From start to finish it was as easy and laid back as I could have hoped for. Our salesman Glen was honest, and despite having to juggle multiple customers at once, made us feel like our business was important. By far, the best car buying experience to date. Price was fair, no hidden fees and they delivered on what was agreed upon. Thanks to Skyland for taking care of my wide and I. We'll be back!
