Nice building, great amenities like indoor and outdoor pools, mini theater, game room, tennis courts, basketball, playground, saunas. Unit 701 we stayed in was very, very dirty though. Feet literally turned black from horriblely filthy carpets. Vertical blinds all broken, missing slats found behind couch. Glad we brought it own pillows and blankets too, ones in the unit were disgusting.
Great facility. Playground, basketball and tennis courts, volleyball, indoor pool, outdoor pool, outdoor kiddie pool, arcade and movie theater. 20 floors, 20 units per floor and 6 elevators. V shaped building so every condo has ocean view and most also have bay view.
The grounds were well maintained, everyone was very helpful and great access to the beach. The pools were well maintained and the indoor one was heated only bummer was the kiddie pool empty, not sure if it was being refurbished or cleaned but we had very young kids that would have loved to play in it. The privately owned condo we stayed in was well maintained and up to date. Front desk was always helpful if we called about something. We made use of the movie theater on two nights and wached 2 very good movies. This has been one of our better condo stays in OC
A great location with easy access to shopping and restaurants, nice beach front, and well maintained condos pretty much guarantee a wonderful vacation. Some of the units have dated decor, and it is on the pricier side. Still for a group of 7 to 10, it provides better value than most places in OC.
My family has been staying at the Sea Watch for the last year and we've enjoyed every year we've stayed. Condo units vary in price and condition, some better than others, but the accommodations are always great. Three pools, tennis and basketball courts, playground and movie theater keep the kids busy and an ocean view doesn't hurt, either!
The place to visit for great summer & off season fun.
Place wasn't clean, it was nice but not clean. I found myself complaining a lot about little things that was just annoying or inconvenient, like my room had only 1 little lamp with a low wattage bulb so my room was too dark to really see even in the morning; and I didn't have a shower curtain in my bathroom (just to name a few things). Then it didn't make sense that only owners can bring their dogs and no one else can, my Yorkie is a part of my family and it was such a big deal about him being there even though there were SOO many other people with dogs there and they even have a dog walk. The whole experience was just a pain. We left early and don't plan to stay there ever again. I do NOT recommend.
This place is amazing! Ocean view and so many amenities! A great place for a vacation
This review pertains to the Seawatch premises itself. To see my review about the renting experience, look at my review on Century 21- Seawatch.
The rooms we have rented over the years have always been cozy and accommodating. These are condos that are owned individually, so the quality of the room depends a lot on the owner. Every room has an ocean view, so that is nice. The rooms come standard with a fridge, oven, microwave, and a few other essential appliances and housewares.
There is a gift shop and snack bar on the ground level. The snack bar has decent food, but can be over-priced in comparison to the quality. The gift shop is pretty average, with Sea Watch and Ocean City themed merchandise.
The property is right on the beach front, so it is nice to be able to just walk out the door and right onto the beach.
The only reason I'd be hesitant to come back here is due to Century 21's rental/realty services. As mentioned above, please see my review on them for more information.
I rented Sea Watch #110 that was described as ocean front. This is not ocean front as verified by a realtor that rents these condos. The owner says that ocean front & direct ocean front are 2 totally different things. If so the laws need to be changed as this is very misleading. The unit is very dirty and out dated and in need of many repairs. The owner said I should have looked at the pictures better, which he did take a picture from the balcony that shows the ocean. You can rent a ocean front condo for a whole lot less and in better condition. My rental was originally for 4 nights which I extended to 5 nights prior to check in and the owner did discount the 5th night, however I never would have extended if I seen this unit prior. I took pictures of all the dirt and needed repairs. I gave the owner the option to make it right and he declined, saying, " the pictures were accurate." When you exit the unit from the two balconies, there is a parking garage and huge building directly in front, if you look to the right there is the ocean which you have enough room for 2 chairs to view the ocean. The condo is the last unit on the side of the building farthest from the ocean. I would not rent this unit again, however there are some very nice condos at the Sea Watch, just not this one.
