I had dinner here for the first time for a girls night out and my experience was better than ever! Our waiter was AMAZING, his attention to our group was just enough and his description of every dish had my mouth watering before it even arrived. The atmosphere was great and the food was phenomenal. I had the Lamb Shank per popular review and I was not disappointed. I will definitely be going back!

Sea Salt is truly authentic Naples style pizza. If that is what you’re looking for this is the place to come. Everything is fresh and the toppings are high quality. The cornicione is a crispy artisan style. The sauce is fresh crushed tomatoes. Everything on the pizza is fresh and done just right but it is very wet as you move toward the center of the pie. There is usually a puddle in the center from the toppings and fresh mozzarella so be prepared to eat the majority of it with a fork. When they first opened years ago the pizza was more to my liking, excellent ingredients with a Neapolitan style crust. IMO it was the best in Utah. Now, it's pretty much identical to Settebello.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Salt Lake. Really unique, healthy, delicious food. I have yet to have a bad meal. Can get a little pricey, but if you're on a budget you can still get some really great food.

Great neighborhood Italian food. The pasta was fresh, the sauces clean and flavorful. Loved the dining area. Service was attentive and helpful. Simple appetizers like cucumbers with olive oil and chili flakes reminded me what I like about well prepared food.

I have been going to Sea Salt for years, I love the food. I dine in or get food to go at least 3 times a month. Even though my husband has refused to go to Sea Salt due to the unprofessional host staff and arrogant waitstaff, I continued to go with coworkers and friends. However, I have many friends who will not go anymore due to the same reasons. I have felt that the arrogance has vastly improved over the years and I have had great waitstaff lately. Particularly the Italian waiter.

Tonight was way different though. I am so disappointed as this really was my favorite restaurant and also right around the corner from my home.

I approached the hostess to ask for a table for 4, my family was parking. The hostess, Katie (Kate), said they are booked. I noticed 6 open tables and inquired about them. She appeared totally put off I was asking and told me they are all booked in 40mins from now. I said ok and called my husband (I convinced him to go because it was my birthday) who knew better then me and had called ahead for a reservation. I let the same hostess know after I found out that we actually did have a reservation. She didn’t say a word to acknowledge the comment or reservation or even make eye contact she just said in a very huffing way “ok! you can take a seat and wait!”. While I was waiting another party for 4 came in and was seated immediately. It was confusing. I approached the host stand and asked Kate if I could be seated? Since I had a reservation at 6p, and it was 6p, there were people being seated, and there were now 5 open tables (btw, I really don’t mind waiting at restaurants and completely understand the coordination of reservations, but this intentional childishness was over the top). I was appalled by her responses. It was almost as she was trying to prove her importance by making me wait anyway, it was very odd. She rolled her eyes at me and huffed again and said abruptly “ok, fine” as she aggressively grabbed the menus to seat me.

She seated me, and while she was placing (throwing down really) the meaus on the table she began to scold me and tell me in an extremely condescending tone “so, during the week we accept walk-ins but not on the weekends”. We HAD a reservation but she still felt the need to scold me about the fact I dared to ask about empty tables.

She walked off and began to gossip about the situation to her coworkers. Honestly, that was the most upsetting part. It was so obvious as she approached 5 different staff to discuss and might as well have just pointed at our table while she proceeded to go off about our interaction, or lack thereof on my part. I then had multiple waitstaff turn and look at our table as she appeared to speak of her dislike of us. It was the most unprofessional and childish experience I have ever had at any restaurant. This host staff acted like a complete child, she acted like we were in New York City and it is a privilege for people to “get in” to “her” restaurant.

I have never written a negative review in my life, but I am so disappointed by our experience. I go here all the time and have had so many great dinners and experiences. I have worked all through collage in restaurants/ bars and have never seen such behavior.

Needless to say, we ended up not ordering and leaving the restaurant because it was so uncomfortable, and it is still so confusing to me why she went out of her way to be so rude and then gossip. Not only have I never written a negative review, I have also never walked out of a restaurant.

We went to another nearby restaurant, Paris, and received excellent service.

Management/ owner - these are professionals and families you all are serving here, you should not tolorate such behavior from your staff. I recommend so many recruitment dinners here but no more. After all of the negative reviews I have continued to return here. Yes, one bad employee can ruin the experience. I sincerely hope you will take these reviews and make positive changes to your establishment as it really has such amazing food and ambiance.

If we are discussing their food, I would give Sea Salt a 4. But in terms of the restaurant, the service gets one star. I went on a group night with my girlfriends. Reservations were at 7, but they didn't seat us until almost 7:30 because in order to arrange our table we had to wait for previous customers to leave. Thenwhat was the point of a reservation??! The hostess was unhelpful through the whole process and never offered water, drinks, or an apology for the long wait. Our waiter was just as incompetent and never once offered to discuss specials or recommendations and did not introduce himself or offer to start with drinks. At the end of the night, the waiter did not notice when he double-charged 2 plates, and when requested we have it taken off, he didn't understand, took the check "back," and then never fixed anythign when he returned. The whole experience, outside the food, was a nightmare.

I had a great experience. I came on a Friday night and it was seated almost immediately, they were very fast on receiving our orders. The names of the dishes are in Italian, but if you are familiar with the names of Italian food i.e. gnocchi it is easy to understand. They have a great environment with really good food that you don't walk away feeling like they have you to much but enough that you are satisfied. I would say that is a table cloth restraint and so not very ideal if you have young kids, but if you have kids around 9 or older then this is a pretty good place. I read a review that said they were under staffed and not treated well. My experience showed the opposite and I felt they had so much staff that they catered to you very nicely, so if you have not been in a whole and had a negative experience I suggest going again.

Came in as a party of 12. We were seated right away and ordered appetizers. They were great. Then we started ordering. The menus are in Italian with vague English descriptions. A few of our party asked questions. The waiter got really snippy about it. He said to one of our party "hey I have other tables, so could you please hurry up!" So rude! Nicolas was our server.

We ordered and then started talking. After an hour of waiting Edgar came and advised us that they had run out of gnocchi. We were the first people in the restaurant. We were the first to order. But somehow they ran out of gnocchi. Half of our party ordered gnocchi. They asked if they could just substitute fresh pasta. Long story short we said we'd just pay for our appetizers and leave. Server was way rude!! Wait time for food was ridiculous! Waiter, Nicholas is a jerk. He's worse than unprofesional. He's rude! Do not go here!

It was fine. For the price I would honestly just prefer Olive Garden. I'm sure their ingredients are better but it honestly tasted about the same.

My husband and I ate here tonight and I was absolutely appauled. Our food was over cooked , my husbands plate left a black mark on the table because it was dirty, the $5 cream soda had so much syrup in it that I asked for another one to be made. The waiter who also was the night manager told me he would only make me one at an additional charge! I have never been treated that way! I paid $100 for my meal and you won't remake a drink based on principal that it was made with the finest quality? Look at how many negative comments there are about this restaurant. The waiter had his hair hanging in his face and wiped it about 20 times and then gave people their food. This place was NOT worth $100not even $10! I spoke to the manager and he was a jerk
I explained to him that this kind of service they will surely go out of business! You will regret going here! I bet all the positive reviews are from the employees of the restaurant. We eat out 3 times a week and spend about $80 a meal so we have experienced a lot This was the worst place we have ever eaten in terms of service and quality!

The service is SO terrible!! My friend ordered an item off the menu at the recommendation of the waiter and it was disgusting!! She told the waiter and he apologized but informed her that he was unable to have the item taken off the bill and that he would gladly have something else made for her at an additional charge!! He told us that it was a "policy" that they do not have items removed from the bill because the food is prepared correctly and so there should not be a problem. This is not the first time that this type of thing has happened at this place. I will NEVER go back, there are so many other places to eat that have amazing food and better customer service.

Came here on a Friday night. We had a reservation for 7:15 and we got there at 7:00pm. We were seated within just a few minutes. Our waiter was very nice and knowledgeable. He gave us some time to decide on what we wanted. We ordered an appetizer, soup and then our entree. We also asked for lemons for the waters. Then we waited for 45 minutes. No water re-fill, no soup, no appetizer. The worst part was that we didnt get a single word from anyone in the restaurant during that time. We decided to get up and walk out. Not one word from any employee saying thanks for coming in, or anything. Really understaffed and forgetful.

he rooms were incredible and the price we paid was worth it. There was a beautiful king size bed, very comfortable, a living area with couches and a desk. There was also a small refrigerator and a lovely sized bathtub. There was also a small balcony that we appreciated. We ordered room service which was mildly over priced, but not more than expected. Location of hotel is perfect for anything you'd be planning to do. No complaints as a great experience!
