Surprisingly, my employer held our Christmas party here which was really cool. We had the aquarium all to ourselves and roamed the exhibits. There are some amazing aspects to the aquariums and a few mediocre exhibits. Overall I'd recommend doing it. There is a tunnel aquarium that let's you walk under the shark tank. Way cool!

This place is almost too nice for Utah!
It is a lovely place to visit and the cookies are my favorite. The shark area is awesome and makes you want to sit there all day and enjoy watch the sharks and sting rays swim. I loved the penguins even though when we saw them it was their bed time. The otters and sloths were also sleeping, but really cute. I absolutely plan to visit again!response / report this review -

I love this place! They have added many attractions!
If you plan in advance, I'd recommend the penguin encounter! Rates are available online, but it's such a fun experience. A totally unique date night idea or birthday surprise for the animal lover.
I usually go at least once a year. The sloths are currently in and they are cute as can be.
They work hard to raise awareness and have done a good job adding new exhibits to keep you wanting to visit over and over!response / report this review -

The aquarium was really cool! Now, I didn't pay to go, I went for a work party, and it was late in the evening, so my review is definitely biased and a little different than what you'll probably experience. Since it was after 6pm (normally they are closed by then) most of the animals were asleep. The penguins, otters, and other mammals were hard to find, or not visible at all. They were sleeping. We did get to see one sloth, so that was cool.
The fish and aquarium tanks were really cool though. Walking through the shark tank aquarium tunnel was amazing.
The aquarium and exhibits do involve a bit of walking. Everything is pretty spread out. It's not bad but just keep that in mind. There's lots of long ramps and walkways. There's also a rope bridge which is fun, if you're not afraid of heights.
While I enjoyed my experience, I don't think I'd come here again and pay for it. Adult tickets are $20 each, teens, military, students & seniors are $17, and kids are $15. It might be worth it to see it once though, especially if you find a coupon or discount.response / report this review -

I've been wanting to go here since it opened but the hours are kind of a pain. Also was worried it would suck because yeah. aquarium in the desert. Couldn't have been more wrong. It was great, the different areas are awesome & they have a much more diverse range of animals than I thought. I also loved how they had the local area so you can see what's in our neck of the woods as well as totally out there stuff like sloths & penguins! I've been to some of the top ranked aquariums in the US & was pleasantly surprised to find they did an awesome job! My son LOVED the huge tank with all the fish & sharks. I'll more than likely be buying a annual pass so I can go there with the fam much much more.

Who would have thought that there'd be a nice aquarium in the middle of the desert? It is an impressive aquarium, full of a variety of species. I also love the open air jungle areas with the various land animals as well. They do a good job! It's a little expensive, but most aquariums are these days.

Wonderful place! We went on a special day for only $2. I was expecting it to be a madhouse, and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't. They had obviously planned ahead. They opened early so a line wouldn't build up as quickly outside, had additional staff in each area, and requested strollers to stay in the entryway to avoid clogging up the rooms and hallways.
The thoughtfulness they put into today make me want to support such a great organization.response / report this review -

Do yourself a favor and get a membership. If you like animals even a little bit, you will want to come back. It also makes a lot of sense for the price.
I got a membership for my birthday and I come with my kids all the time. I can pretend that I'm going to entertain my kids, but I am absolutely going for myself. I love it.response / report this review -

It's worth going to at least once. Plan to stay a couple hours so the kids have time to look at everything. We were most impressed with the sharks painted on the wall in one of the hallways you can stand by them and take a picture and they give you a realistic idea of how big great whites and other large sharks are. Typical of a family-friendly place that has animals to look at. The food bar had a lot of super yummy looking options but pricey as usual.

I love this aquarium so much! They have a great diversity of animals here and one of the best otter exhibits I've seen! They have a large shark tank with the tunnel that you can walk under so you can get a really good view of the fish! Kids love the touch tanks and I love that they have more obscure fish as well as really popular ones. They even have a zebra mantis shrimp!
I have an annual pass in like to come often. Every time I come I feel like I see a new animal that I didn't notice before the new feature in the tank. This is seriously one of my favorite places to go.response / report this review -

Beautiful exhibits showcasing life all around the world. Petting the stingrays and starfish are my kids favorite activity. The shark and penguin exhibits are really cool also. They also have a large play area that kids can run around in. It costs $3 for 2 hours (worth it!).

I just had my son's first birthday here. I know it was less than a week's notice but it was great to be able to still get in. I originally booked for party of 20. Throughout the week prior to the party which was planned for Sunday, I had a worried feeling thinking that I would need a bigger room because some people did not RSVP and some people may show up with more guests. I then called a few hours prior to the party to just go ahead and pay for party for 40. Keep in mind, I have already spent almost $500 on the party+food. I got there and had a nice young woman with short dark hair help me, then she left. So I was stuck with another girl who barely came in and helped me, the only time she came in was to tell me how much time I have left. I had to go find her to get my refills. The food I bought was so overpriced and dry. The sandwich tray was $45 alone and was not that great. Our party did not exceed more than 20 people, so I did not need to buy the extra room. We did not even use that room. The aquarium is a great place but having a party here is quite expensive. I wish I had a better experience. I even asked the party coordinator for a refund since I paid for the extra room. I wouldn't see why not since there were no parties after us even though the girl was kicking us out. It is so hard to reach her though! I would go back only to enjoy other things. The food in the cafe seemed cheaper and tastier than what I ordered. I can't believe how much I spent. I just really wish I had a better experience for it being my first time there and it also being my son's first birthday. Really would give it 4-5 stars but just disappointed at the service I received for my son's expensive party!

So much fun! I really loved wandering around in here and wish I had had more time. The gift shop is completely dangerous, I could've spent $150 so easily on mugs and totes. I'm really excited to go back!

Our family visited on a late Saturday afternoon about two hours before close at 6 pm, which seems a little early and I was concerned we wouldn't have enough time to see everything. We made it through all the exhibits at a leisurely pace, though, but did not see any of the films. Plan on maybe 2-1/2 or 3 hours with a film or if you or your little ones are really big on sea life. This is not the Monterey Aquarium which I consider the absolute best, but as a regional aquarium it holds its own. Just off the freeway, office park location is convenient but not particularly pleasant, and it seemed expensive without any discounts. I am told by others that a membership is definitely worth it if you live nearby and will visit often.

The wife and I really enjoyed ourselves. We needed a break from lagoon, so we swung over here. The entire place is themed well, and they have a pretty good assortment of fish. The tight rope thing was fun to walk across, and they even had leopards! Great way to spend the afternoon. If you have an AFCU card you get $5 off a person, makes it definitely worth it.
We spent about 2 hours here, and that gave us plenty of time to see everything even with how busy it was. We didn't try the food, but we hear it is pretty good.
If you need a break from the park, or just need something to do, its worth the stop.response / report this review
