All Night Service On Site Assistance spear
At first nice people by the end horrible service rude woman who picks up the phone I think her name it's Linda , Bruce was pretty stable and nice ,at the parts and service department was my experience. Be aware of ur car loaners because I thought mine was perfect and they claimed I dented . De dente could only be seeing by far away from the vehicle. When I tried to fight the claim they told me they paid good attention to details. Soon as I got home I realized the mirror that was supposed to be done in my estimate wasn't done. So not so great at details as they claimed. When I went back they offered several choices to pay the loaners debt I didn't do, including lowering my deposit fee if they claimed with my insurance what made me feel even more uncomfortable since I couldn't prove I didn't dent it. We ended up settling for the debt in the loaner. I complained to Safeco be aware ur insurance is not looking out for u when they recommend u do ur service with the company that does the estimate. I don't recommend this place to anyone and their service was deceiving and extremely rude. I hope the rude lady linda realizes she is dealing with people who are all ready dealing with an accident and becomes sensitive to that fact when she opens her mouth to talk to us . I hope she fixes her behavior.. very bad very bad!
Great car buying experience!
Trustworthy "In it for the long haul" dealer.
Great experience, very nice staff
I rarely write reviews but I had such a positive experience with this dealership that I feel I owe it to them to give them 5 stars. The sales men are extremely honest and friendly. It was an absolute pleasure to buy my Explorer with them. We had been around to a few dealerships in the area but as soon as I walked into Old Saybrook Ford, I knew I wanted to give them my business. Highly recommend!
I wish I had read these reviews before driving over an hour to get to this place. I saw a nice used Toyota on their website which was advertised as $8,000 which I thought was a pretty good deal. I called to make sure the car was still in stock, and they told me it was, so I decided to drive down there to look at it. It was in real nice condition only 1 problem. The price WAS NOT $8,000, it was $11,000. You read that correctly, the price which I saw was not the actual price. The salesman showed me the fine print online which stated that the price reflects a $3,000 trade in, and he stated that many dealerships are doing this. Really? Name one. I have never been to a dealership which advertises a price which is less than the price which they actually are asking.
They state that they do this so people with a trade or down payment in can determine finance or whatever come on really? Is that really why you do it??? The truth is, they are doing this so that you think you are getting a great deal, and they hope that when you get there that you will fork over the extra bucks for it. Pretty shady dealing practices. I can only imagine what other dishonest things they do to rip off their customers.
Their slogan says "where a handshake still counts" I found out today that their word doesn't.
I live in Saratoga Springs, NY I found a truck on their website that I was interested in. I made several phone calls and emails back and forth. We worked out a deal, I emailed all paperwork to them and the financing was taken care of also. We agreed a time and day for me to come over and do the trade. I left my house at 5:30 am and made the 4hr. drive. After I got there and spent about an hour and a half the owner explained to me they made a mistake, they thought (after running my VIN number to see all the specs and options on my trade in) that my truck was diesel not gas, and for me to make the trade it would cost me an additional $4500.00. So after cleaning all my belongings out of my truck taking a day off work spending the gas money and driving 4 hours each way there's nothing they would do for me. They didn't even offer to pay for the gas after admitting it was their mistake. Also the liquidation sale price that's listed on the used vehicles on their website has a $3000.00 down payment in the description that's not noticeable until you read everything. I will never go there again and I'll advise anybody I know NOT to do business there.
My husband recently bought a ford transit from this dealership. He told them that he wanted cloth seats, and they assured him that once the van came in, the vinyl could be changed to cloth as an after-market purchase. But guess what? It turned out to be impossible. The owner of the dealership told us that there was no way that could happen, so then we asked if the entire seat could be changed, and we were told that that was also impossible. Apparently, the salesman who made these promises is no longer working there, whether it was a result of his lies to us or some other issue, we do not know. But it was obvious that he made promises that were not ever able to be kept in order to make the sale. So we are stuck with a van that my husband loves, but I cannot sit in it for very long without exacerbating my already tortured back issues. I have trouble believing that a supposedly nice local business which we are trying to support would sell such an expensive vehicle under false pretenses just in the name of making a sale.
