Had a delicious dinner and the service and staff were friendly and good! The bathrooms were dark and unisex which needs either an attendant or brighter lighting.
it has a nice atmospheregood music. Nice bread. The coca cola tasted like cough syrup tho.
We had a girls night out and we were extremely happy with the excellent food, wine and amazing desserts. Can't wait to go back. This is a lovely establishment that deserve praise for decor, relaxing ambiance and we all must hail to the culinary skills of their chefs!
Good food, nice staff and quiet atmosphere.
We reserved a table and didn’t have to wait for it a minute. You should try the saxon burger, delicious! The mangalista ham eggs are also a good choice. Make some room for dessert, the cheesecake is a must!
Absolutely fantastic Service and food. Went there tonight without any Reservation. Unfortunately there was a mistake in the Kitchen so that we had to wait longer. The crew immediately responsed and helped us to pass the time with delicious appetizers and an overall perfect service.
I had the vegan version of the impossible version ( without bun because I am gluten intolerant), and it was delicious !
Only thing i could say is that they should think of gluten free buns :)
If I lived in NYC this would be my weekly Sunday brunch spot. Fabulous food and drinks deserving of joining the club! I really couldn't recommend highly enough. Make sure to stop in here!
Not Vegan Friendly, honestly why serve an Impossible burger but not have a vegan option on the menu?? I get it, we (as vegans) are trying to have people try animal friendly food. But don't take our burgers and throw all dairy on it with no option to make it cruel-free -__- What sense does that make?
Overly price for below mediocre food. I don't recommend, especially if you are only going to try the impossible burger, which Bare Burger serves with a lot more flavor. As well as half the price was not Happy at all
Eclectic little spot with a nice atmosphere. The happy hour is very busy, but it's the food that really shines. I had raw oysters to start and the Impossible Burger as an entree, and both were outstanding.
I came here specifically for the impossible burger, so this is mainly a review for that dish. However, regarding the service and ambiance, Saxon + Parole was on point! Their service was nice and comfortable. I'd love to come back again to visit the bar too, since it looks really fun. I also dined alone, but I could see this being a great place to take a date. The noise level was nice and the lighting was sexy. I wish I came with a friend so we could try more dishes! I'll make sure to do that soon and update this review.
The impossible burger at Saxon + Parole was simply delicious. It's for people who should expect the taste of a regular beef burger, not for those expecting a better veggie burger. It came somewhat deconstructed with the fresh veggies off to the side. I chose to take my initial bites without veggies to taste the burger patty better. My initial thoughts are that this doesn't taste like a veggie burger and it's very heavy on the mushroom flavor. I love it though. I later found out that the mushroom flavor was mainly from the truffle mushroom sauce on top.
The restaurant was very dimly lit, so I can't see clearly. From what I can tell, the patty browns up nicely and I can get a bit of crunch from it. I took a little bite apart and it looks similar to shredded chicken in texture. Perhaps my tastebuds were a bit overwhelmed by the sauce, but I couldn't taste much flavor from the patty on its own. Impossible foods aims to create a burger that looks, tastes and feels like a regular meat burger. I think it feels like a meat burger, but I can't fully attest to the look since it was dim. As far as taste, I think I got the taste of the whole burger put together (as good constructed food should be), but couldn't discern the patty from the rest. What I can say is that it doesn't taste like a veggie burger. It's moist and left me feeling satiated. I didn't feel like I left without having a satisfying meat burger.
Ultimately, Saxon + Parole did right by their menu. They wanted to create a fully delicious burger, not just an impossible burger patty showcase. As a dish of itself (ignoring whether it was a real beef patty or an impossible patty), it was delicious!!
Cool restaurant with two levels. Nice bar set up upstairs with plenty of space to stand for a drink in addition to the seats at the bar. Seating up and down stairs in standard table and booth options. Varied but regular menu with great selection. The Holy cow option was excellent as were all drinks we tried
