Enjoyed our stay, staff relatively nice. Coffee over priced and not good. Room comfortable and clean not resort like, not a $200 a night room or place. Nice looking pools, no hot tub, there is not a spa as advertised. Overall not horrible but not excellent.

Haven't stayed, but frequent their tiki bar. Great drinks and awesome chicken wings! Bartenders are wonderful. Heads up, they add 18% gratuities to bill.

This is our second visit to the sandcastle and we love it's quaint 1960s charm. excellent staff beautiful beach and amenities. Delicious food and a wonderful breakfast buffet with a world-class Chef for dinner and banquets. I highly recommend this place for a weekend romantic getaway.

The rooms at this hotel are definitely outdated. Beds are cheap and not comfortable at all. Floor is sinking in spots. Tears in the seats. Bathrooms look like they haven't been touched since the day it was built. Facets dripped all night long. Shower water would go from warm to boiling hot every time a toilet is flushed in the hotel. Faucets had water squirting out from the dials. The grounds were decent and the beach is always beautiful. Pool had some under construction areas. So here's the biggest thing I have a problem with. The ice machine is a restaurant style machine. It's left unlocked with a scoop on top that is left out in the elements. I'm pretty sure this is a major health code violation. You cannot allow anyone to scoop there hands into a giant ice machine with a scoop that probabaly has been dropped and not washed for who knows how long? Not to mention bugs can crawl on it. Down right disgusting. And don't bother ordering a drink from their pool side bar unless you plan on taking out a second mortgage. $22.50 for a double Tito's is just plain hwy robbery. I won't be back to this spot. Look elsewhere. There are nicer places to stay.

This review pertains to the restaurant available to the public. The theme of the dining hall is "dying dreams of the 80s" - smell and style. As I was eating at the bar, a very large bug scurried across in front of my plate. While the sandwiches my colleague and I ate were decent, it wasn't enough to distract me from the fries that tasted like they were heated up in the microwave.

Lastly, I wanted to comment on the mandatory tip. While the 18% gratuity charge is plenty reasonable, further inspection will reveal that this is taxed. It was just the unfortunate ending to an otherwise cringy dinner.

I rewarded myself by taking a handful of the chocolate mints while walking out the door.

It is a very beautiful view of the beach that is all I can say and I will tell you why. My wife and I checked in on Friday evening and went to dinner at the restaurant located on the property. We came back to the room and noticed that in the bathroom there were dead and alive bugs everywhere all over the floor, the shower, the bathroom sink, and the towels. My wife needed to use the restroom so I cleaned it the best I could to get her in there. I opened a brand new roll of toilet paper because there none was on the holder. It was full of bugs crawling inside of it. I have a video I will post. It was disgusting. the bugs were also on my shorts i hung on the towel rack. I notified the front desk they moved us without issue we check the room and did not see any more bugs from the previous room. We slept that night woke up in the morning and we're covered in bug bites which we noticed that the mattress in our room had them in it. Hopefully it was not bed bugs I heard you can get bad diseases from them. Needless to say we are very upset and finding another hotel for tonight. Please view the pictures before deciding on this hotel!

This place has great ocean views. The rooms are a bit outdated but still very nice and clean, especially since most the time spent in the room was for sleeping and getting a shower and basics like that. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, I sleep with a fan every night, the room didn't have one, but we called the office and they brought me one to the room at no extra charge😀. The restaurant at the resort has great food but could use a wider selection of food selection epically when you eat there for breakfast, lunch and dinner more than a few days in a row. I will definitely return again in years to come to continue celebrating my brother in laws memorial weekend.

Met with my wifes family who was staying there. I cant comment on the rooms or cleanliness but the staff was great. We were sitting on the beach and they made sure you stayed hydrated by always offering water.

Just "ok". Great location and view. Beds & pillows are rock hard. Very dated & old property but still taken care of and clean. Carpet was damp. Too pricey for what you get. AC is too old to keep our room cool. Had to ask for a cpl fans. No complimentary coffee or breakfast. $25 "resort fee"
This is actually a motel with a pool, not a hotel or resort.
    Staff is nice & friendly.

In 44 years this is the BEST accommodations I have ever had. The views and location are as good as it gets. Literally the front door is on the beach. The amenities of the resort are perfect! The staff and Tim H. the manager are so far past terrific! They treated my family like their family. The restaurant has outstanding food! Breakfast, lunch and diner! Try the Hash for breakfast and burgers anytime. Yes, the burger is the best I have ever had. We will be back as soon as we can! Trust me this is the best place you could entrust for a great vacation or staycation.
