I stayed with my family on this hotel. Terrible to say this was the worst hotel ever. The pictures on Google and other websites is false advertisement of this hotel snd and it is not what you get when you arrive. Front desk was smoking in front of hotel when you see signs everywhere no smoking. When we walked in the room smelled like pure urine. The room had iron burns in the entrance and it had a terrible mold and mildew smell. The bathroom lock did not work and the towels smelled horrible. Needless to say the sheets were never washed had stains and also smelled horrible. The last is the neighborhood was awful tons of homeless people asking for money and when we looked also outside the sliding door of the room there was tons of garbage, empty bottles etc in the outside of room. This hotel is a 0 stars. Will never go back and will tell all my friends, family and area of Busch Gardens how horrible this hotel is with there false advertisement

This was by far the worst hotel I ever stayed at, the front of hotel smelled like smoke , the room smelled like piss, there were iron burn marks all over the rug, mold everywhere, we were on the first floor and looking out the back door there were empty beer cans everywhere. The pictures shown on web site does in no way represent the hotel, very misleading. The whole area around Bush Gardens is run down, and hotel is no exception. Never will stay here again!

Rated a ZERO or minus 100 stars!!!!!!
After a 5 hour drive we arrived at our hotel to only be told we would have to wait to check in while they reboot computers. We had hot food waiting in the car my husband retrieved our dinner to eat in the lobby. After waiting 15 mins. we were able to check in. We got our keys being told our room was on the 2nd floor. We walked through the whole hotel only to find out no elevator. Exhausted from our drive & on a time schedule to attend a Tampa Bay Lightning game. We walked all the way back to the front desk to ask for a 1st floor room. WE arrive at our room, eat, shower & get ready to leave. Saying hello to our neighbors who are outside their room drinking. We come back after the game late & tired & my husband was sick from a cold. This was his birthday present so it was very important to me to show him a good time. The neighbors were still partying & getting louder. We call to ask to move the lady said she was busy she would call back. We went ahead and walked up to explain. She offered us a few options not what we wanted. She finally gave us a room further away from the first. We arrive & spend some time winding down we turn off the lights to sleep & I start hearing music and loud talking. This continues & gets louder with arguing and fighting. My sick husband knocks on the wall, they knock back hard and continue to get louder. We finally pass out because it is so late & we are so tired. In the morning it starts again @ 730 am. We pack & leave. Most Horrible Place EVER!

I booked a hotel stay and got econolodge bush gardens in Tampa Florida the hotel should be rated at a .5 or a 1 if that!!! Should be a $25 dollar hotel not almost $100 there was stains on the “clean sheets” the beds were falling apart stains on the carpets and bugs on the walls !!!! We checked in around 8pm and checked out by 9pm !!!! The front desk was not understanding at all! It was miserable and a horrible stay! Real life nightmare !!!! No water pressure in the shower !!!! The beds made so much noise and were falling apart !!!! Do yourself a favor and stay in your car instead! I couldn’t even sleep in there drunk!!!! I wouldn’t be surprised if they rented by hour!!!! Just awful!!!! Words can not explain!

Won't be going back to this place. Just wanted somewhere close to Busch gardens, so we got this for the night. Wasn't comfortable at all. The 1st thing I saw after entering the room was that the cushions on the chairs were filthy, the carpet was also filthy and my shoes kept sticking down on the carpet. Made me wonder if the sheet and pillow cases were clean! Also, you get rudely disturbed by the staffs. After check-in, about 30 min after, a knock on the door, then somebody opening the door. When we open the door, one of the staff gonna ask if we paid. How rude! Then next morning, after 10am, loud bang on the door. House-keeping, asking if she woke us! Bare in mind, check out is at 12pm.

This hotel was nice from the outside, but as you drive around the hotel you see a lot of garbage infront of the rooms downstairs sliding doors, the back of the building had no lights, very spooky. The inside, carpets were extremely old and dirty, not to mention the creepy hallways, the place is very big. Rooms are okay size, bathroom size is good, except stained floors around the toilet, holes in the walls, stained walls, the smell of mildew and no cleaning service showed up; rooms that had towels thrown in front their doors. Not to mention the rear entrance was open all night. The clerk said she would lock it at 10pm and the only people that would come in were key card holders, but we came back to the hotel at 2:30am doors were still unlocked. The list goes on.

I won’t ever come here again. Sorry, hire more employees for such a Big place.

Pros: you can walk to Busch Gardens
    Cons: everything

The front desk staff were pretty nice and accommodating. Rooms were fair however, I did find a roach in the coffee maker. But the overall stay was decent except for one problem that was completely bothersome. The older breakfast attendant was extremely vulgar and disrespectful. I have never seen an employee be so rude to guest. She bossed around the younger attendant that was such a sweetheart that she had no rebuttal. This older women on the other hand spoke to the guests and their children in such a nasty manner that people actually walked out of the breakfast room. She was so unprofessional it made me sick to my stomach even going as far as turning off the lights while guest were still eating because she wanted to be done for the day! There was a woman that felt so bad for the younger one that she actually went up and hugged her with great apology for having to work alongside of this horrendous lady. She should be fired!

You would think being less than a block from the entrance of Busch Gardens this would of been a much nicer hotel and area. During the day it's was okay, but I don't recommend staying on the bottom floor because at night there are a lot of homeless people walking around as well a drug deals going down. On a better note the hotel was not bad. It was clean and comfortable. The lady at the front desk was very nice and knew the area well enough to give directions and recomendations.

My boyfriend and I checked in at around 10pm as we had left busch gardens and were very tired. We took the cheap route over staying somewhere more expensive and ended up staying under an hour. There were drug deals going down in the parking lot. The smell of mold smacked us in the face when we walked into our room, there was blood stains on the mattress. The floor was dirty. Dirty towels in the bathroom, hairball on the bathroom floor. There was mold on the bed and on the curtains. This place needs to be shut down as a hotel and opened as a homeless shelter. We stayed for about 30 minutes before we demanded a refund and found somewhere else to stay. Don't waste your money here!!!!

Breakfast was not very good. The pool had a light floating and still wired. Funky smell in the hall. The rooms were good and clean. And an easy walk to Bush gardens. The staff was friendly.

It could have been worse But thank goodness it wasn't! I know it's a bargain motel but I expect clean rooms and this lacked that. Price was too high for the accommodations we had. Another annoyance: the front desk clerk didn't end hey phone conversation when we came in to register. Yes she focused on is and was even friendly but she continued her conversation, and I could hear the other girl even though the clerk was using a headset. Will not stay here again. Next overnight trip to local attractions we'll stay 10-20 miles away.

The rooms were above adequate despite age showing and the distance to Busch Gardens is good. What's also noted is that it's great for staying for two days when going on trips. I don't see why it deserves a 2.3 star rating. There was this odd seawater taste in the waters, but I discovered it first-hand in a Wal-Mart, so I think Tampa is just fixing their water supply. Also, there was a little problem with two doors, one in our room which couldn't close unless you closed hard enough and the one outside that wouldn't scan your card unless you scan it slowly since it's rather old.

the worst Customer service on earth, was yelled at by over night employee for inviting girls to room, zero respect from management when confronted about the situations. employees are aggressive and even put their hands in your face. terrible room quality, looks old, smells terrible, sheets had stains on them. terrible hotel, do not get a room there. spend the extra 30$ and go to another hotel. seriously! best 30$ you will spend.

This is a convenient location however it needs some tlc. It has a breakfast but always the same items and not enough food for all the guests. Items on the breakfast include eggs, sausage, raisin bran, frosted flakes, white toast, and muffins. The breakfast is not manned on Tuesday and Wednesday so things are not replenished. The pool looked nice, but strong chemicals in it as I broke out after dangling my feet in the pool. Cleaning staff did a nice job cleaning room.
