What a beautiful space. Such comfortable bedrooms, loving room, dining room A quirky but terrific kitchen. Gorgeous setting. Wonderful host.
Great place to go for lunch or dinner or use their hotel for the weekend
Little surprising gem of a restaurant. Well worth the detour when you happen to be in the area. Selection of food includes fresh trout, Russian blinis with sour cream, German bear, and various breakfast offers (our party of 6 had all of this and is was all very good).
They refused me and my family service because our three-month old son needed to sit in a stroller. He’s not old enough to sit in a high chair, not that they offered us one. We had a party of three, including our infant son. The entire first floor tables were empty. The only options they offered were to have him sit on my lap or eat outside - it’s dark out and 65 degrees with a breezewho would think taking a three-month old out in the cold is acceptable? Rude, inconsiderate, and impatient. Please don’t consider eating here if you have children or appreciate basic manners.
What a treat! Miriam's service and hospitality were so great and the food was absolutely incredible!! I had the squash soup, so luxurious and flavorful. Also the local cheesecake and berry tart were to die for! Can't wait to go again.
Awesome, unique experience. Great food and well picked wine and beer selection (even a couple gluten free beers, one that I haven't seen anywhere else). Truly a gem of Sullivan county.
Very picturesque spot overlooking a running river. The food is high quality and very tasty. I had a gost cheese omelette which was wonderful and the others had panini sandwiches. I highly recommend.
Great hospitality and food beautiful location welcoming for kids :)
All of the food is simply delicious. Don't miss out. Quaint atmosphere, extremely friendly staff, stellar drink/beer selection.
Update: after coming here for a second time, I am doubling down. Just take a look at all of the other reviews. No one is exaggerating. Honestly one of the best dining experiences you can have. If it's warm outside, make sure to sit by the river that runs right underneath the establishment.
Peaceful. We sat outside by the little brook, but the inside was also warm and quiet. The Russian-style food was not your average pub or American fare which we were getting sick of when trying to eat off the highway. Service was awesome, not pushy and had lots of local info. Also.. only 5 minutes off highway 17.
My family and I LOVE Rolling River. If you are considering if - GO! If you think it might be great - YOU'RE RiGHT! If you read or hear a negative comment - GO AND PROVE THEM WRONG. This place is one of the best - if not the best - places in our county! Thank you for being here!!!
