A quaint pub. This place has the charm of a salty sailor's refuge. It is not for the thin skinned, but the place also pokes fun at itself.
As always no sniveling and keep your cell phone in the car.
Great bar food and atmosphere. It is popular so expect to wait a little for a table if you have a lot of guests.
By far - and without reservation - the best seafood in Montauk. Plus, it is full of great people. As a saloon, it’s even better. Stumble, don’t walk!
It's Montauk so don't go there looking for a bargain but what you will get is treated fair by nice people and it is worth the time just to look at all the odd and interesting things that is scattered around
Awesome place with nice view, food is delicious and service is excellent.
The last great place in Montauk. The atmosphere is perfect. The food and drinks are excellent and the owner is out of his mind and that's the way we like it! NEVER CHANGE!!!!!!!!!
Our dinner was delicious! My husband had the clam chowder that he inhaled and then the fresh tuna sandwich. My dinner was a special the mahi mahi w/mango salsa over heirloom tomato salad! It was perfection. Oh and our 6 year old twins loved everything too (and didn't get tossed out on their ears).
Halibut was out of this worldstuffed clams w/the best salsa we have ever had, try the Greek salad dressing, fresh and delicious! Beer was cold and refreshing, the decor is fun, the staff is attentive and professional, definitely know their product, and are welcoming!
Loved this place want to be a regular!
A bar / restaurant. The dining definitely stands on it's own if you're not a drinker. Nachos are a mountain of goodness, fried calamari is nothing special, fish sandwich & burgers are excellent.
The place is comfortable and cozy, tables are close yet not claustrophobia inspiring. Fast service.
Overall a really good choice.
This is where Montauk legends are made. You havn't experienced true Montauk until you've been here.
Seafood was great. I ordered a chz burger MR, it unfortunately came out raw. Staff was very friendly. Will go back.
While the curmudgeonly signage and vibe of the restaurant can be off-putting. But the fresh fish, sandwiches, and salads are well prepared and tasty.
Good food and great price in a funky setting (see pictures).
Hands down to the Clams Casino which were really tasty! The steamed little necks were also excellent.
However, the Baked Clams were dissapointing compared to some other venues in the area as they lacked flavor.
And the Clam Chowder is Manhattan style, i.e. tomato-based sauce, just so you know.
To finish, the service was really great.
This place gives you a local vibe and has a NO PHONE policy that is a great idea.
Waterfront location. Few menu selections. Average food and service.
This is a great local joint. If you are on a budget and are OK with bar food, this is the place for you. Just remember, you get what you pay for. Mainly locals here. Decor is strange. Service is mediocre. But overall value is decent. Give it a try if you're tired of posh, fancy restaurants.
Did the DOCK get a new cook??? Been going there 30 yrs. - a favorite was the fresh healthy clean broth and little neck clams and good bread. Brought the family last night and never again. Three of us ordered our favorite dish and it came floating in heavy yellow oil. You could not taste the clams. Everything was greasy and yellow. Almost too rich and greasy to eat. No longer healthy and fresh tasting. Almost like a cheap fast food place. So So Sad!
I'm hoping that's"The Dock" is the former "Christman's". I loved that place!
