This place has a lot of charm, it very obvious that it's an old hotel (in a good way-there's a lot of character) that has been operating for a long time. Unfortunately that also means there are some aspects of it that feel a little out of date. I have stayed here multiple times and the staff is always very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is good but a little slim on selection.

Loved how the inside was decorated, smelled. Not often can you walk into a hotel and it have a good scent. Everything was clean. Rooms were awesome. Breakfast could use a little more variety though.

This place has very bad customer service. The top guy part owner whatever he isis a miserable person yelled at me for taking my breakfast to my room to eat it. I felt him to be very arogant and condescending. I wouldn't even give 1 star but I had to give some sort of star zero wasn't an option

I love this place! So much to do in walking dista and beyond. Rich history in this town and this hotel! Hotel management is friendly, warm and helpful. Staff is great. Can't go wrong here. Great time!

We redeemed our free night stay with #ChoiceHotels while on the road, moving back to AZ from NY after 11 years.
The Rodeway Inn in Boulder is so nice! It's like you've stepped back into the 1930's!
It's a hotel in its original condition & even the room was cozy.
The staff was very accommodating.
Just something about that place, it reminded me of The Shiningespecially the hallways.response / report this review -

First off the hotel has two different names on the side of the hotel making it very confusing if we were even in the right place.
The guy at the front desk was hard to understand and there systems were out dated as they couldn't even do a spilt pay.
The elevator sounded like a death trap.
The stairs smelt like a dead body was decaying in them.
The whole hotel smelt of marijuana.
The Room was very out dated, the comforters had blood stains on them, everything was very dusty, the bathroom shower only put out cold water and the sink put out only hot water, and they only change the sheets and the towels ever 3 days! The employees were very rude!
The hotel is also haunted. Weird things kept happening during our stay, lights would turn on and off by them self and stuff would get moved!
VERY GROSS PLACE! DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!response / report this review -

Decent accommodation at the heart of Boulder near University. Clean rooms and good breakfast in the morning with speedy internet. We enjoyed our stay here. It has a small swimming pool and spa as well.

They let us check in about a half hour early, which was nice because we had come from Rocky Mountain National Park and desperately needed a shower. The furniture and decorations are old, but not gross. If you don't like old, you probably won't like this, but it was a great deal for the price and served our needs. The lobby and building had lots of character and we enjoyed the atmosphere. We didn't use the gym or pool, but they both looked nice. The breakfast was varied and tasted good.

If I could give 1 star I would. There's a hole in my room & as I'm sitting here during the daylight still a cockroach the size of a quarter is crawling up the wall. I called front desk who only was shocked & finally offered to only move me rooms. I asked for a partial discount since I've always known that if there's one roach there are plenty to follow. In my opinion even if I didn't move rooms there are still roaches in this hotel. Partial refund seemed fair to me. The guy told me he would look into it and let me know. Well an hour went by still nothing. I finally called him again. He said I could check out now & get a full refund or switch rooms. That seemed to be black or white in my eyes with no grey area. I can't believe that the staff was so shocked that I saw a roach. He looked as if him & his cousins frequently ran up the walls in this place. Also the guy who came to pick up the dead roach (after I asked several times for them to get it) told me he would look into a spray for me to maybe spray my room. No that never happened. I won't be returning.

An outstanding staff that upgraded the quality of the hotel by at least two-stars. Each member of the hotel team made contributions to our pleasant stay at the hotel. I will book again and again at this hotel when I'm in Boulder-area.

There are 2 parts to this review. 1st being the hotel itself. 2nd being customer service. The Hotel was not half bad, especially for being the cheapest place around Boulder to stay. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The customer service is a different story. There was no greeting from the front desk agent. I had to initiate the conversation and it almost seemed he was annoyed that i needed a room. Had to call the front desk and he hung up. Corporate was called and they did make the situation better. However, that was absolutely no way to treat a hotel guest.

Its a great "no frills" hotel. Great location, great breakfast. But I do suggest staying on the 4th floor, which is the most up to date.

Our room smelled like wet dog and old cigarette smoke trying to be covered with bad air freshener. The furniture, bedspreads, and pretty much everything in the room is very old and worn. We don't require fancy, but this hotel is just gross.

We were treated like a part of the family at this hotel. The staff was so nice and accommodating. Our room was clean and comfy. We spent a lot of time at the pool. The kids loved it! Anything we needed, we got! Breakfast was just what we needed Amazing pancakes! Excellent location! We had a great time and look forward to booking a room again when we are back in Boulder!
