Excellent food. Awesome staff. I just didn't care for the seating in the back. The entire vibe changes, it goes from feeling like a great cafe in the front to a run down diner in the back.

Great space, and a truly engaged staff. Not pompous like the staff at the other chain (star deer)
They even had condiments and didn't have to say sorry if you wanted to make your breakfast sandwich the way you want it.maybe a touch of pepper or some hot sauce. Oh yeah my coffee was great and less expensive than ****bucks. I'll be back!!response / report this review -

Eclectic decor, cool vibes, kind, attentive and informative staff. The Coffee is tasty and strong a little pricey on some items but worth it. Try the iced mocha with coconut milk. If you appreciate coffee and chocolate it should hit the spot.

Great service. Super friendly servers. Nice area, not to far from the lake so I can bike there. Would have given it five stars if they had vegan options other than the hummus plate, which I believe was vegetarian. I'll be back to try the beverages. They looked amazing!

A wonderful addition to the neighborhood. The coffee is delicious and very inexpensive. Great place for students who attend U of C.

Great atmosphere and service. The menu has something for everyone and the coffee is excellent. It's also large enough to have areas that are quieter and areas that are more lively. Love it!

I really like this place. Nice people, always busy but not too busy. Drinks are great - I love the banana chai - the food is almost great. The breakfast bowl is surprisingly devoid of flavor but the sandwiches are good as are the potato chips. Free book exchange, events in the evenings. Easy parking.
