These are great people and they work hard with a LOT of people coming in and asking questions, asking for oil, or a quick adjustment or just advice on bikes. They are all pulled in a million different directions and are always smiling and friendly. All this said, the ONLY reason I didn't give 5 stars is that they forgot to attach my kickstand and give me the keys to the security bolts they attached. I didn't realize this until I got all the way home. So now I have to go back. They should have checked that I had everything, but I also should have checked before I left. They are holding these things for me and they're offering to install the kickstand if i bring it back. So, though frustrating that I spent several hundred dollars and didn't get everything I paid for, the helpful personalities, knowledge and pleasant experience makes up for a lot. Just check everything before you leave.

I've rented bikes here twice so far this year. The bikes are great and the prices aren't bad either. This location is very close to Prospect Park and in a very interesting part of Brooklyn. It's the perfect area to take a ride and explore the area. The only thing isI just wish they were a bit friendlier and went over the costs in person as well instead of just relying on the device they use for rentals. I'll be back.

Best prices, quality, and speed for service in Brooklyn. Retail is also pretty good and they have a great website for checking stock or ordering to the store before you go in.

I had a great experience renting a bike with these guys - I only had one morning left in New York and really wanted to cycle around Prospect Park. I walked in, was served straight away, and the fees are very reasonable - only $7 per hour, and they pro-rate it if you don't use the full hour. I had a great 1.5 hr bike ride and only paid $10! Definitely a service I'd use again - thank you!

GREAT service ! Andy patiently helped me pick the perfect bike for a gift ! He helped me compare different bike models, given that I knew almost nothing about bikes lol. The bike was delivered quicker than I expected and assembled ! Thanks so much! Definitely recommend this place !!

Knowledgeable, helpful staff. Like most places, they will let you test ride. They seem to have some excellent deals there for some great bikes. Highly recommended!

I love this shop. I'm posting ina pissy mood however. I brought my bike in for a tuneup Sunday. Just brought it into work for my usual commute today and got a flat from what appears to be a patch as opposed to a new tube. Now I have to park my bike in an area that appears safe, but who knows, so that I can get into work. Seriously, they're usually great, but I am super annoyed right now.

I needed to get my handlebars switched out in a hurry (new brake levers, cables, tape job, all that) - so, the good man Frazier (Frasier?) helped me out. I left my bike at the shop for about an hour before it was ready to go. I was told that I was lucky to be alive because my old brake cables turned out to be shifter cables! This was a terrible/dangerous job done by a certain bike shop on Myrtle near Fort Greene Park - but I won't say any names. Anyway, Habitat did a great job. Thanks.
