This movie theater is definitely showing it's age. But it is kept up well. The bathrooms are clean. The popcorn, while wildly overpriced, is good. The diet Coke tasted weird though. Staff is polite and helpful. It is nice that they have so many screens because you can almost always get to see what you want.
It's a pretty good theater. It's not very busy, the employees are nice, the audio sounds good and the image quality is oknot great, but acceptable. The seats could definitely use some upgrading.
EDIT: I took away a star from this review because I visited a Cobb Luxury Theaater over the weekend, and let me tell you.WOW! This theater pales in comparison.
Not very easy to get in and out of but there is lots of parking. The theater was clean and the employees were very nice. We were here on vacation and this made a great place to visit on the day it rained. The temp in the theater was nice also, not to hot or to cold. We enjoyed the popcorn and drinks at a good price since we were at the early show. I would come back here again.
Classic movie theater. Love to see scary movies there. The vintage look gives an extra creepy feel.
I went to see flat liners, The employers were extremely sweet, and took no time to get what i needed, the food was amazing, there was barely anybody there, it was relatively cheap and just an amazing experience, I definitely recommend!!
This is a cool theater, it's old school. No digital monitors for the movies or the sign. The concessions are the only thing with tvs to display the menu. Movie theater is typical nothing fancy. But their ticket are cheap to go along with the standard amenities. All the staff I encountered were very nice and the movie was great.
Older theatre screen we saw movie on was broken amd kept turning purple. Movie was good enough to stay through it. Game machines in lobby missing parts or we would have played. Staff is wonderfully nice.
Good place to watch movies with a beer or wine. The theater does need to be updated. Every theater around town is updated with better seats but still a good place to go if you out at the beach.
Clean theater. Was not crowded at all for an afternoon show. Kids enjoyed having the moving to themselves.
We came here on our Anniversary to see Transformers Last Knight movie. We had a nice experience. Friendly staff. Bought tickets 3d for two adults $24, candy $4, drink large free refills $7, small $6. Noticed everything was clean in bathroom too and in the auditorium 6 (except for a lil dusty smell and cup holders) Movie theatre took me back to my teen days. :) Movie screen is smaller than amc's and seats are regular cushioned and you cant pull up the arm rests to get cozy. They do have lights to see steps. Love the games and claws machines. Adored the sweet Amanda's candy machine $4 there in hallway.
The staff at this theater are by far, the most friendly, helpful, and courteous I've ever encountered. Every single employee seemed to be having a good time doing their job, and every interaction I had with them was surprisingly fun. This theater, out of every other theater in Jacksonville, will be the one I take my family to. It was clean, it wasn't too busy or crowded, the seats were comfortable enough, and the screens are in good shape. It's worth mentioning that I and my partner actually enjoyed the staff more than we enjoyed the movie we chose on this night.
This theater needs a little love. The auditorium was small and lacked stadium seating. Service was slow at 1:00 pm. However, the staff were friendly and the place was clean.
Yes, it is an old fashioned theater, but it was the MOVIE EXPERIENCE, not like how open, cold, and empty things are now. Took me back to another time, plus they have this awesome candy machine called Sweet Amanda's. I saw Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 in 3D and the pictures were great, and the chairs are comfy. Definitely coming back.
