Comfortable beds and clean rooms. The rooms are pretty modern looking don’t judge the rooms by the outside appearance. The price is great and the staff was pretty friendly. Thought I’d be disappointed but was not!

The room looked nothing like it did in the pictures. DO NOT order room service from here. They showed up with our food which was good but they did not send our drinks had to wait another 45 mins when the guy came he had only 1 drink told us he would return but never showed up we fell asleep waiting on it. The bathroom door doesn't close and the face basin sink water drains super slow. This is not what I was expecting from a premium room. But I guess we get what we pay for $87.

Great motel. Cheap clean looks recently renovated. Everything in my room was new and clean. Fair price. 1 mile walk to downtown Raleigh. Friendly service. 4.5

Great rooms, service, housekeeping was EXCELLENT. 24 hour free coffee. Simple, healthy and satisfactory continental breakfast. Pet friendly; there's always a cool dog around that needs there ears scratched;-) This is a safe, secure place that I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND , Especially for couples, children and elderly. We will be back

Didn't have high expectations but it was a very pleasant stay. Clean room, big bed (king size), microwave and minifridge. Room was quiet. Floor is wood in stead of carpet, which we prefer. Check-in lady could have been a bit more friendly.
Breakfast was very limited but at least it was included in the room price.

The staff is attentive, welcoming and professional. The rooms are well sized. Pets welcome with an entire 'Pet Free' floor for patrons. Within minutes of downtown Raleigh, Shaw University and North Carolina State University! Coffee fresh and morning spread is quite nice. Pleasant surroundings.

I enjoyed my stay and the check in and out process was very smooth. The staff (Maryann & Panther) were very nice and pleasant to work with. They answered any questions that I had in a very professional manner. They also suggested nearby places to eat. I ate breakfast at the Farmers Market which Maryann suggested and the food was excellent. The room was clean from top to bottom. I would definitely stay at the Red Roof Inn Plus again.

This is a first time staying at a hotel, and especially a Red Roof, and I will definitely recommend it to others! The staff are nice and will work with you even when you kind of have to ask a lot of questions. They even helped us with catering. The rooms are very nice and spacious, though some maintenance could be done. But that was easy to work around. The bathroom was very good and so was the sink area. Beds are definitely comfortable to my liking, though everyone will have different tastes. Overall, I'd definitely like to stay here again!

Staff was very nice. Rooms are clean and it's actually the only pet friendly Hotel in downtown Raleigh. No deposit required for pets to stay and a VERY reasonable nightly price for a clean hotel. Hard to top for an overnight stay if you need to bring your pet.

Good location for traveling, right off the beltline. Room was reasonably clean and felt recently refurbished. Wood flooring, which was a bit odd. Overall, a good value for money if you're looking for a place to spend a quick night.

Eh, it's a red roof inn. Not sure how much my boss paid to have me stay here, but at least I'm moving to the Sheraton for the rest of the week. Nice staff checking in, dirty hallways leading to the room. The room surprisingly did NOT smell like smoke, though the bed is on the form side. 3 pillows per bed ranging from brick to a sheet or two of tissue paper. It was an endeavor to comfortably propyself up in bed to figure out what channel I wanted to watch. There was no channel guide The shower was noisy in the morning, but luckily that drowned out my neighbors TV which was drinking on all night.

I gave this hotel 4 stars simply because you can't beat it for the price. It is about 2 minutes from downtown Raleigh. Cleanliness is my number one concern at any hotel I stay at. Our room was clean and had hardwood floors which I prefer to carpet. The bathroom was clean as well.

As many other reviewers stated, as soon as we walked onto the elevator there was a strong scent of marijuana. It was also noticeable in the hallway. However, we did not detect any smell in the room. We checked in about 10:30 pm so people were probably lighting up and getting ready to go downtown since it was a Friday night. Smell had cleared out in the hallway by morning. Only other issue was that the bed was not very comfortable for me or my significant other.

We chose this hotel spontaneously as we decided to enjoy downtown and spend the night. For a $70-$75 a night rate you can ask for much more. Clean, so so comfortable bed and good location. I would stay again.

We've stayed here 6 times in the last 3 years and have not been disappointed once. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful, especially the night crew. We always end up asking for extra towels, and the front desk supplies them without question.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. It's better than you think for the price.

A lot of people complain about being able to smell marijuana in the hall or elevator. I get it, but listen, if a mere whiff of it puts you off for your entire stay, then find a super uptight hotel someplace else. Hope you enjoy your high horse. An easy-going attitude, cleanliness, and customer service is what this place is about.
