People all over in lobby. People running up and down hallways. Kids I'm assuming crushed food all over hall. They didn't have any light bulbs, pillows or an ink pen. Asked about breakfast at 9 am they said it ended already
There was mold in my room. Rugs are very dirty all over the place. No towels in my room and white trash every where
When we you first pull in it looks like hotel is abandoned.. there are some cars missing windows.. there was quite a few people hanging out at the picnic tables that we assume live there.. they were very nice and friendly!!! Check-in was good, lady was very nice hotel room old and dingy bed WAS comfy room was very quiet all night!! Shower was HOT and awesome water pressure.. Floor was sticky and there were safety pins under mattress was 2 long sticks of laffy taffy sheets were clean, comforter had some stains there is nothing within walking distance but very quiet location.. on the back side of hotel there is a liquor store with people hanging out at corner this hotel was updated and cleaned better I would give it a higher rating
Good hotel for the price. Booked a room for a monthly rate/stay. There was some confusion getting into a room as the first one needed ALOT of maintenance AND was missing the mini fridge and microwave, was given a second room number, no linins on the beds, hadn't been cleaned as dirty linins were balled up in a corner, received a THIRD room number, still didn't have a mini fridge or microwave but was promised maintenance would bring us one. The front desk clerk also said she would give us a discount for our trouble and extended our pool and fitness room hours. Had to call and request the mini fridge and microwave 3 times before one was actually brought to our room. Located right off seaway drive across from Denny's. They allow pets. Non smoking hotel. Pretty quiet at night and during the day. Rooms are decent size. Also has a hot tub in the pool area.
Rooms are very nice service was good location is not bad
My husband and I read through every single review on here and another website for RRI but thought maybe others were too critical of the place - so we were going to give a chance. We knew it was a budget hotel so not the best of hotels, but figured it'd be fine for what we needed while visiting the beach and so we can take our pup with us. Boy were we wrong to not have listened to the reviews! As the one review said: RUN, RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN. It was god awful. Not even worth the price they have it listed for. Stains ALL over the carpets, room floor was slanted, puke or some bodily fluid dried down the side of the toilet, the mattress was stained with urine and blood which was covered with a small piece of fabric, sheets did not fit the bed, pillows hard as rock, dead bugs on the floor, bed stacked on wooden blocks, bathroom had red dingy towels, table had a broken leg, A/C was incredibly loud, abandoned buildings literally surrounding every side, and not the friendliest looking company hanging out all around the outside. We didn't even want to sit down anywhere in the room, it felt so gross and unsafe. Not even our dog could settle in. When we called down to the front desk to try to check out early (it was around 10:30PM when we arrived) the girl told us she had no idea what the check-out/early cancellation policy was and we would have to talk to the manager in the morning. We booked a room with Comfort Inn in Whitehall that night and forfeited our money for the night. The only reason this place gets a star (even though Google won't let you give anything lower) is because of the woman who helped us cancel the rest of our reservation for the weekend and refund our money - which we were charged for all 4 nights the first night we were there and apparently weren't supposed to have been yet. If you can turn a blind eye to all the filth and uncleanliness, then book this place. It's cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for. Next time my husband and I will spend the extra $100 or so a night to have a nice hotel. Pretty sure this place will be condemned like the rest of the neighborhood soon.
The Red Roof was a great spot for our social event. We weren't bothered by all the traffic because of the ducked off location. Employees were helpful as can be.
Incredibly disgusting hotel. Lacking everything. No kidding. Rooms and halls are dirty. Bathroom plumbing is a joke. Halls reek with animal urine odor and have stains everywhere. My room didn't even lock correctly.. Staff is useless and barely noticeable. Don't bring your children here if you can avoid it.. Health risk seriously.
I usually don't complain much but I was extremely disappointed with this stay. This Red Roof is nothing like what the pictures show. The rooms are very old and outdated. The suite was a nice size and the beds were clean but that where the good things stop. The shelving in the kitchenette were broken, the tops of the dressers were worn out and all bubbled over from things being spilled on them. There was used bandaids in the nitestand drawer. Our room phone didn't work and the lamp on the desk didn't have a light bulb. The bathroom wasn't disgusting but dirty. The shower walls werent cleaned very well. The floor was very sticky sounding when you walked across it with your shoes throughout the whole room. The love seat was ripped and the rollaway bed looked like it was from the 1970s. We weren't told that the pool and hot tub weren't open when we made the reservation and looking in it didn't look like it was as nice as the pictures indicate. I have to say that the staff was very pleasant and professional however. That was probably the best part. If it wasn't for the fact that we were just looking for a place to lay our heads I wouldn't have stayed there. I know it is a budget hotel but I still expected more from this hotel. I will definitely not stay here again and I couldn't even recommend this hotel. And lastly the continental breakfast is given to you in a bag and the that one one of our guys received was dated 4/19 and we stayed on 5/6. Needless to say it wasn't eaten.
Stayed in the king suite and it was very well put together. Jacuzzi tub had great pressure, shower had too much pressure it hurt. Uncomfortable bed and no breakfast. But other than that my stay was great.
Nothing like the pictures. Rough neighborhood. Could tell if the other patrons were regular people or pimps and prostitutes. Should be called the Crack Roof Inn.
I'm a monthly resident, on March 1st, without my permission they took out $214.41, then 3 hours later, they took out $ 673.86. (again, without my knowledge) but, ok, my monthly bill of $ 888.27 is paid, right??!! NOOOOO. COME MARCH 4, THEY TOOK $888.27!! MAKING MY CREDIT CARD OVERDRAWN $ 640.00!!!! NOW, TO TOP IT ALL OFF, GO UP TO TALK TO "MAY " AND SHE YELLS AT ME "GET OUT OF HERE , CRAZY CAT LADY"!!!! OUTRAGEOUS! THEY HAVE STOLEN ALMOST $700.00 OFF MY CARD AND NOW ITS FRIDAY AND I HAVE NO MONEY TO MOVE AND I SAY THAT BECAUSE AFTER THEY READ THIS THEY WILL KICK ME OUT..BUT, WHATEVER, I CAME HERE TO START A NEW LIFE, AND IVE NEVER BEEN SO STRESSED EVERYDAY, THEY CALL ME NAMES BEHIND MY BACK, MY VEHICLE WAS SIDE SWIPED THE FIRST MONTH I WAS HERE, MY TIRES HAD NAILS IN THEM, PROSTITUTES AND JUST A FEW DAYS AGO, A METH LAB WAS DISCOVERED. One good note, my cats are still alive.🐈🐈
This place was saving grace after a very bad experience with another hotel. Thankfully they had 2 rooms left and they held them for us until we got there. The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. Thank you for everything.
