I love the big suites and the water park better than great Wolf Lodge. I did have an issue with the deposit on locker key. The key needed to be returned by 9pm. We went to our room at 6pm and decided not to go back to the water park until the next morning. JJ refused to refund my deposit of $40 for the keys because they needed to be returned the previous night by 9pm. I cancelled my return planned for Jan. 13, 2017 because of their refusal to work with me on the locker keys.

Took my daughter there to go horseback riding. The guides weren't necessarily rude, but they acted as if they didn't want to be bothered and we weren't really worth their time. Once in a blue moon my daughter and I spend time together like this, and they kind of ruined it for us. Nothing like my daughter having the memory of the time dad took her horseback riding and Double J employees were kind of A-holes. The memories.

I use to love staying a weekend here with my family and enjoy all the activities. But for the last few years, it seems to be going down hill with customer service. It's always been expensive but at least staff was friendly and respectful. Recently I helped my friend with a wedding she had there. Piece of advice, if you plan an event there, and they say Julie is your event planner, REFUSE! She was horrible. No communication. She did not return calls or emails. During the wedding she was rude and never informed us of anything. When dinner was about to be served we had to ask her repeatedly about it. The food was "ok". But for that price I would have expected much better quality and way better service. They didn't have some of the liquor that was on the bar list so they had to go to the store and get it, and 2 hours later, we had the alcohol for the dollar dance.after half the reception guests had already left. They messed up the cabins for everyone. I Booked a cabin with a king bed and got a queen. The bride booked one style family cabin and they gave her the other style causing her daughter and son in law to have to sleep in bunk beds. Absolute nightmare start to finish. My advice, just don't trust there event planner and do it yourself if you decide to have your event there.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was a bit lackluster, but hearty. We loved the ice cream shop and general store. The life guards in the water park were friendly and very helpful. We found everyone to be extremely friendly. Our room a.c. was dismantled (as in pieces) and our icemaker was also broken. It was in the middle of the summer, so we were miserable. The front desk staff was very sweet. Although they were unable to have it repaired, they sent us up a large bag of ice. They also offered to move us. Since it was the middle of the night, we declined, moving just wasn't practical. We were very disappointed about how hot it was, although the room was great otherwise. It was huge, had a full kitchen and many other cool perks. Although we were disappointed about the state of the room a.c., especially considering the rates they charge, we found everyone to be very nice. I would still recommend this place , as long as you don't mind the hefty price and inspect your room carefully upon checking in. After a full day and evening of activities, when you're tired and the repair staff are gone is not the time to get unpleasant surprises. All, in all, this is a fun and unique getaway. We felt the friendly, genuinely nice staff made what would have been a disastrous stay, great. We left with great memories and can laugh about the room issues instead of feeling angry. We do wish we could have afforded to stay longer. We also plan to go back. I had heard negative things, but have to say that I was impressed at how friendly and nice EVERYONE working there was, even in the midst of a problem. There are also so many cool activities and places to explore. I would recommend a week long stay if you can afford it. I just don't think you have enough time to see and do everything in less time. If you can only afford one night, add the water park passes and spend your time there! We felt there was something for everyone in the water area. Lounges, huge indoor/outdoor hot tub, swimming areas, toddler area, tube rides, food area and even lockers. The life guards were friendly and helpful while still being professional and concerned with safety. This really is a fun, friendly and unique vacation with something for everyone!

Book a cabin as part of a wedding I was attending. For the price of the cabin I expected a lot more. The furniture was old and dated. The couch felt like you were going to be swallowed up and very uncomfortable . The bed was cheap and the linens were old and worn. The cabin felt like it was cleaned just enough to make it presentable . The overall resort looked old and shabby. The restaurant at the main building was worthless. The service was awful and the waiter looked like he just woke up from a party the night before and didn't take a shower. The breakfast buffet was cold and not that good. I do not recommend staying here. I would of found a different hotel if I had to attend a wedding here again.

The new management seems to have no idea what they are doing. We had a great time despite there being some complication, delay, or inconvenience at nearly every juncture. This was not our first time and we've had great experiences in the past but that was under different management. The facilities and we're great as ever but a good portion of them were shut down or closed. Most of the employees were great, especially our hayride driver who put on an expert whip demonstration. The employees seemed to be almost as confused as frustrated as we were. All in all it is a great resort with an excellent staff that is quite poorly managed.

Stayed in lofts. They were clean but needed more lighting. Called for trail ride never heard back. Front end staff was less than helpful and not very bright. Had to fight for free breakfast as it was stated on website. Restaurant manager was very nice and agreed the front end staff is pretty useless. Food was very good. Would not return.

Customer service was an A +. They made sure we were taken care of from the beginning of our stay until we left. We purchased the golf package and received a free breakfast, overnight stay in the suites with a hot tub in the bedroom and had a great time! The food was great. Golf was fun but course is a little difficult but absolutely gorgeous. Just a great overnight getaway!

Our family spent four days here and had a blast! We especially loved the Saloon for dinner and drinks, the outdoor swimming hole and the water park. The cowboy town setting was really fun for the kids - they ran and chased other kids for hours. Made for great photos. The cabins were great, clean and thoughtfully arranged for families. Some of our kids did horseback riding lessons. Cute ice cream show and general store. We will definitely go back!

Wonderful place for all ages. Numerous activities, or just relax. Soup to nuts as the old saying go's. Something for everyone.

Took family to water park, kids had a good time, but some of the equipment was in need of service as it wasn't working. Also got the kids ice cream and the servers there were excellent. All in all was a good time for the family.

My family & I have been here to the water park many times and it's great when it's not busy. The staff can't seem to handle the busier days Possibly under staffing issues/poor management. Poor checking in procedures for water park. Not enough seating for guests, if you leave your towels on the chairs to save your seat they will take them & then other guests will swoop up your chairs. The adult only jacuzzi is usually out of order. Usually 1 water slide is out of order. Many of the kid water play features do not work. No one is collecting & stacking water rafts. The flooring is slippery, I've watched 6 adults & kids fall today from just walking. That doesn't include the kids who fell from running. Seriously too many. I keep hoping to see improvements, but the staffing issues and poor customer service keeps going down hill.

The kids had fun at the water park. My mom did slip on some stairs and fell hard. There seemed to be a complete disregard for patron safety and the thought of making any improvements. We went to the steakhouse afterwards to eat, and had terrible service from start to finish. There were only 8 tables in the restaurant, but the manager refused to seat us for 20 minutes because they "just had a rush". I asked the bartender who had zero tables, zero bar guests, and was just organizing liquor if we could sit in the bar area, which I received a dirty look and a hard "No". We had one person order a steak at our table. She ordered it Medium Rare and it came out completely well done, zero pink. I could go on, but overall, feels like poor management and will not go back.

Went to the pool for the day on Sunday. It was very busy and there was not enough tubes for the water slides. The 4-person tube slide had less than 4 tubes in circulation. There was nowhere to sit as people were putting their personal items on tables and chairs rather than a pay for a locker. Also both my husband and daughter cut their toes on the textured cement on the edge of the wave pool. Overall we had a good time, but their is definitely room for major improvement.
