Maybe I had my hopes too high based on the reviews, but I think they're average. They are way bigger in size for about the same price as other places- which is a big plus. The employees weren't very friendly either, and seemed inconvenienced to answer questions about the flavors. 420 gear is cool👍🏼

Best cupcakes in DC. Large, numerous flavors, and no more expensive than anywhere else. They also serve delicious cookies, brownies, pies, and bars. I've never tried the coffee counter but there's always a line which implies it's good. The crowd often snakes out the door but don't worry because a line halfway down the block really takes a ten minutes to get inside. There is a surprisingly plentiful amount of seating for a dessert shop, however it's always crowded so you are likely to have to go elsewhere to sit down.

It's usually pretty busy here, but it's worth it. The coffee is the real deal. So good! They have a massive selection of baked treats, and I have yet to try everything, but I'm working on it! The cardamom pistachio cupcake is my absolute favorite so far. The set up is a little confusing, one line for baked goods and another for coffee/tea, so you order from each side of you want both. If it's nice out, take everything to go because it's typically tough to find seating if you're not a party of one!

One of the better cupcakes in DC. Other places may receive more publicity but in my view this is the best. The bakery has a hipster vibe and places where you can hang out while you drink your latte and consume the baked goods. The cupcakes were moist and did not taste like they had been frozen. If you like cupcakes this is worth the visit.

Best cupcakes in DC! I like the variety of flavors and their homemade marshmallows. The spot gets super busy but it's worth the wait, even on sweltering hot days or chilly winter mornings (I've stood through both!). Seating can be tricky because of the size of the spot, but during off hours you can grab a counter seat or an outdoor spot. A must stop if you're in town!

So I have to say I was SUPER disappointed that there was a line out the door for cupcakes on Saturday this used to be a more off the beaten path location. However when I lived in DC it was by far my favorite cupcake destination. It's a heavy, moist cake with decadent frosting, unlike the competition up on M street (you know who I mean) which has smaller and fluffier cupcakes.

Hands down the best. I miss them so

I didn't know what a real cupcake was until Baked & Wired hit me in the face like a hundred puppies flying in on unicorns. It's that good.

Everything is delicious here. The customer service, the premium ingredients, the cozy seating area where you can read and lounge*, the parchment the cakes are wrapped in, and the clever names of each treat.

Skip the competition and get acquainted with Baked & Wired.

*Besides, if anyone asks what you're up to this weekend, you can simple say "I'm getting Baked & Wired."

Big selection of great cupcakes, I would consider them as cakes that is shaped like a cupcake as they are big. They have a verity of baked goods as well which changes daily/weekly. The staff are really nice and will help guide you when seen to be lost choosing. The atmosphere is funky for a cupcake shop and not so "refined" which gives it a nice unique vibe to the shop. Unfortunately wasn't as impressed with the coffee section as the coffee wasn't as expected. Must try for cupcake junkies.

This place is pretty cool, they have a massive selection of creative baked goods. If you want they'll put your coffee in a real cup which is quite nice. My espresso was burnt, but apparently that's not a common problem. The bacon chive and cheddar biscuit was incredible. I definitely recommend this place for breakfast or an after dinner cupcake.

Really enjoyed this place. The dirty chai latte has really strong flavor and the cupcakes are quite fantastic, though you probably have to have a sweet tooth. The flapjack cupcake comes with bacon sprinkles and is SO good, but I found the icing a bit too sweet (mind you, this is a personal opinion and I think most people would not be bothered by this at all). The atmosphere is comfortable and friendly, though of course it was busy - there was some guy playing a guitar outside which is also kind of fun. The best thing about the experience is that the baristas aren't pretentious like some places I've visited.

Love this place. Quaint Georgestonian place, If you're in Georgetown I'd take this over any of the cupcake places hands down. Can be busy but they move things pretty quick with baked goods as you walk in and coffee on the other side. Larger sized cupcakes and some different flavors but also carry pies, cakes and other goodies.

Loved this place. Had a delicious Texas sheet cake cupcake and a honey pecan bar. Didn't ear these items for a day due to travel but were still enjoyable. I also got the best espresso I've ever had from here. If I lived in the area I would be a frequent visitor.

I usually like Baked and Wired because their cupcakes are delicious, and they have a lot of allergy friendly foods. As someone who suffers from an intolerance to wheat flour, this is important to me. Last night I purchased a dozen assorted cupcakes, asking for one gluten free option. When I opened the box at my event, the gluten free option was not distinguished from any of the other cupcakes, and the flavor was different than what was listed on the website. I tried to call the bakery, however when you call you are directed to an answering machine. I sent an email to determine which cupcake was actually the gluten free cupcake, and received a response after the event was over at 10 pm. This could have been avoided had the bakery 1. added a distinguishing marks on special cupcakes (perhaps a different color parchment paper), or 2. put the special cupcake in a separate box from the other cupcakes.

I'm not a cupcake fan but thought I'll give this place a try given its high yelp reviews. It taste just like any other cupcakes. Very sweet but it has many unique flavors. Still too sweet fore though.
