The hotel was nice, we were upgraded to a corner room. Staff was outstanding. If I had one negative, it was the pool area. It was small and in a weird location.

We stayed at the Courtyard the night before we went on a cruise that we boarded at Port Everglades. It was a good size room with two double beds and plenty of space. The location is great with only a couple of minutes walk to the beach. The Courtyard also supply a shuttle bus the cruise terminal for $8 per person whih was cheaper than a taxi or Uber. The reception staff were very helpful and would recommend this hotel.

the staff at the Courtyard were unbelievably "GREAT". A co-worker and myself were in town with our wives on a business trip and had booked rooms in a nearby hotel. Much to our surprise upon arrival the rooms were in need of repair, smelly and unacceptable. My coworker and I walked to the Courtyard and was greeted by warm and friendly staff and were allowed to inspect the rooms before booking. From valet to housekeeping if I could give them 10 Stars I would. Thank you Courtyard Fort Lauderdale.

A good hotel for the price, but leaves a few things to be desired. Biggest gripe is that the walls are very thin and 2 out of 3 treadmills were broken. Also pool was a bit small and got crowded. Smoothies were overpriced ($9+ for a banana strawberry smoothie with spinach, made from premix). It was also a great location! I do not think I'd pick anywhere else.

I came here because of the reviews of others. So I know, you are reading this in order to decide where to stay in Fort Lauderdale.

My husband and I have come for our anniversary for 8 days, today is just our 2nd day. No words can express our gratitude about this room. Fabulous view, floor to ceiling windows, comfortable facilities Worth paying for upgrade!!! It can‘t be more romantic!!!

The photo I took was dark to see the room because the point is the view!!! Wish you can have like us a BEST vacation ever!!!

Sat at the outside bar for drinks with friends. It is located near the pool on the second story facing the beach. Being local to Ft Lauderdale we struggle to find a place to relax amoung the chaos of the beach, but this was a nice find. While it is certainly "no frills", if you're looking for a simple place to get a great view of the water and A1A without the crowds and noise, just park in the public lot next to the Elbow Room and grab a drink. We'll certainly be back.

We checked in late. They gave us the "last available room". which was flooded! Yikes!
An hour later, without too much hassle, we were upgraded and got complimentary breakfasts.
So, good recovery of horrible first experience.
Otherwise, no issues. Room service was friendly and efficient.
Beach access was easy, across street. Disappointed that beach chairs were provided by a "private business" that wanted $20! Hotel generously offers towels, apparently without restriction, for beach use.

We booked this hotel because we heard great things and its location was ideal. Our stay went great until I inquired about late check out the day before we would leave. I was told by a young man at the desk that there was the option to check out late and the fees were $25 until 2:00pm and $50 until 5:00pm, which we thought was quite reasonsable. Early the next morning we called down to inform them that we would like to check out late. To our surprise we were told that we would have to pay $170 because that's the fee when they are booked. We basically pay the cost of a night's stay. We were never told this by their employee when we inquired initially. I don't think this is something you forget to mention. We were very upset about this. We had to check out at 12:00 with a 3 year old and it was raining, so we couldn't even hang outside.

If want a better than average room but not particular about beach view I would recommend the corner suites. They are noted at desk as A or B. These are spacious corner rooms with full viewing and very large modernized bathrooms. the Bistro is also better than average. Location is near some of the local watering holes with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. "Coconuts" is a local favorite, right across the street. You have to cross the street to get to beach.

Note - valet parking is $33.00 per night. There is an additional lot right beside the location for $8.00 per day.

We chose this hotel because it was close to Port Everglades, and it did not disappoint. Beautiful location right on the beach with plenty to do within walking distance. My only complaint is that the beds were stiff. Other than that I would highly recommend staying here.

Best location ever close to the beach and all kinds of restaurants and entertainment like Escapology.Rooms very clean! The gym is well equipped with all working in proper order. The pool and outside bar are very nice! The staff is the best i seen so far! Specially the cleaning lady she was polite and curtius.

Stayed over night for memorial weekend. Valet was steep even as a guest for $35, I am assuming because of the holidays. The hotel stay is also expensive due to the holiday, so I do not see why they should charge a guest full price for valet. Rooms were clean and regular like any other residence in. The views to the beach we're very pleasant. The pool seemed antiquated and did not for the Marriott brand name. Check in and check out was rather quick, but there were barely any customers when I arrived and left. If there were customers there would be somewhat of a wait, but not too terrible. Hotel is fair, but not worth a hefty price even if across the beach. There are similar priced hotel across the beach with better features.

The ocean view is amazing. We got the king corner room because I thought the double wall window would be amazing. We were on a lower floor sorry opening the side window would show building roof tops. I'm not disappointed but we just ended up opening the main curtains. If you are conflicted between a double window with king bed or single window with double bed you are safe with either. Maybe if you can guarantee a higher floor it might be better. On the south side there is a bar with music and the hotel did an event if you go to bed early or have trouble sleeping it might be an issue. Music seemed to stop around midnight. We didn't have a problem but made me think of families with kiddos.
