A place like RTT is the reason you should support good local bike shops. As a favor to a regular customer RTT rented me a great gravel bike for a week, something that was actually hard to accomplish for a visitor to Chicagoland. The bike held up very well on an 80 mile ride to Union Pier--couldn't have asked for better tuned bike.

Aug 3, 2021 Update
We had another bike with a flat, 2 worn tires, and in need of a tune-up. Just like last time, great service when I dropped off, great work on the bike, timely repairs, good communication, and a great experience picking up. RTT makes it look easy. Many other businesses should look to them as an example of great customer service and quality work.

I guess I'm late to the game with EVERY other 5 star review. Well deserved, I brought my Trek in for a tune up and repair - started with the online que and then was sent an email that my time was here. Great system - I interacted with 3 people there and all 3 were really great to work with.

Now - the actual work. I bought this (kind of my first "better' bike) used 2 years ago. After the work they did it was better than it was when I bought it. I was shocked, it was like I was riding with brakes on before the tune up. Can't recommend enough. Thanks for the great service.

Edit - forgot to mention the turnaround time. I was told 2-3 days when I dropped it off at 4pm on a Wednesday - I got a call at 2pm Thursday, next day that it was ready. Great service!

I have been going to to RTT since they opened. Andy and Team always step up to ensure the best service with high quality products. Very knowledgeable and honest and straight to the point. I have had them customize and upgrade a couple of my existing bikes and they are far and above better than when originally purchased. My go to spot for tubes, tires, lube, accessories, and my next new bike purchase. Won’t go anywhere else.

First time I've been here and I took my bike in for a tune up on a recommendation. They had a handy queue system that minimized my time without my bike. It was done within a week even with a holiday in the way. They did a fantastic job and it feels better now than it did new. Prices were very fair and no unnecessary upsells. I'm very happy with their work and will definitely be returning for my biking needs.

Andy and the team at RTT Cycle Shop are great. Thorough inspection, and top notch service. Price are fair. I will continue to take my bikes there for service and will buy my next bike from RTT.

Long Term Review: I have continued to take my bikes to RTT for service, and yes I did get my next bike from RTT Cycles. I am still a five star customer. Andy provides thorough service that can only be provided by a top notch mechanic. Certainly the best bike shop in the Western Burbs and Chicagoland for that matter.

I bought a Trek Mountain Track for my daughter when she was in middle school. She rode it through her college years, but then it languished in my unheated garage for 12 years. Andy carefully restored it. (It's beautiful!) It will be a birthday present for my granddaughter later this summer.

RTT Cycle Shop is the only place to purchase a bike or have it tuned up. Andy Almazon, the owner is very knowledgeable and gave me a extremely competitive price on a bike for my wife, accessories and a bike carrier.

The staff goes out out of their way to make sure you are on the road logging in miles. I couldn't be happier with my experiences at this shop. Keep up the great work!

Brought my bike in for normal maintenance. Was promised it would be ready in 7 to 10 days. On the 10th day I called for the status and was informed bike wasn't even started on yet. Talked with owner (Andy) and he said he was "just about" to start on mine. When I complained he said no problem because work will only take an hour or so. He said he would keep in touch. I called the 11th day and was told bike is being worked on and it would be a few more days. I told desk clerk this is too long and I'm going to pick up my bike now. Getting ready to leave I called to make sure bike would be in 1 piece. I talked to owner who now told me bike was not even begun yet. I told him I am coming in now to pick up bike. When I get to shop the desk clerk kind of said she was sorry but the owner (Andy) didn't even acknowledge me or apologize.

I don't know how they have a 5 star rate when they can randomly treat a customer as bad as they treated me and wasted my time.

Stay away from this shop.

Called RTT to look up the price of a bike. Andy took my # and called back just a few minutes later. A couple other shops I called just blurted out prices and info that was not correct. I appreciated that Andy did not take wild guesses, he looked up the info and got right back to me.

Andy told me that this years bike was being clearanced and gave me the reduced price. He then proceeded to ask me if I could hold off on purchasing a bit longer because in his research, the factory may reduce the price further.

I received a call from Andy a couple weeks later with an even lower price. I place the order, got a call the day the bike came in and picked it up that evening.

My wife & I will be coming back to RTT to purchase a bike for her. I will also be dropping off my bike for tune ups.

Tried the new shop in town this spring because it's a lot closer to me than any of the others. What a great find. Andrew seems to have a lot of experience. When I told him that I'm riding RAGBRAI (the 7-day ride across Iowa), he said he'd give my bike a quick once over just before the ride, which was nice because I could keep training up until the last few days. The other shops at this time of year generally have at least a 2-week wait, which would mean I would have had to quit training on this bike way before the ride. He does great work at fair priceswhat more can I say. I just wish there was better parking, you have the entire DG Library lot, but it's often full.

Great bike repair shop. Took a bike in that had not been ridden since the 90s and needed some work and parts. Andy was able to quickly look over the bike give me an estimate and stick to that estimate. We will definitely be back for any bike repair needs in the future.

A friend had recommended this shop. I usually can do my own repairs, but I had a shifting issue that I couldn't resolve. Andrew quickly diagnosed and came up with a repair and completed it several days earlier than expected. Bike works like new now. Great service!
