Overall this is a fantastic resort. Its a bit off the strip (10 min walk or so) so its nice and quiet. The resort was very clean and the beach front was groomed every day. I got a one bedroom suite, and my only nick is that the pull out sofa bed mattress was really old and needed to be replaced.

The onsite restaurant (Jack's) while pricey was very good, as was the breakfast buffet. The bar and grill had a decent menu and was priced about what you would find down on the strip. Every thing we had was good, and I didn't feel it was a "bad deal".

Overall, i was very happy and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this resort to someone.

Our reservation was cancelled prior to our arrival, with no contact made to us. Seems the person managing the building we stayed in wanted to charge us, early. AC was broken. Support staff never visited our room, for the two nights we were there. My room had no shower ammenities. We were in one of the buildings separate from the main building; which is the only building I recommend staying in. Super wonderful, there. We pointed out these issues, and we didn't want any discounts, but the front desk attendant gave us five dollars off, per night. It was a nice gesture, but almost unnecessary. Oh well. Happens. Last time, we stayed in the main building, loved EVERYTHING about it.

Lovely resort with lots of amenities like umbrella and beach chairs and pools and towels. Great staff. Friendly and helpful. Amazing food and bar. Perfect for families and couples. Ask for room 3206 to get a private outdoor balcony!!!

We have not even vacation at the pink shell yet… But I felt I needed to write this review. I was working with several travel websites and was having trouble with them so I decided to call the pink shell directly… I got Amy Thomas on the phone when I called. Amy is truly an amazing employee. She helped me book a weeklong vacation with my family in one of the nicest buildings the hotel has , she was polite , pleasant , answered all of my questions and made me feel like I was a VIP guest that was coming in . I had to email Amy a couple times after my reservation because I forgot to ask a couple of questions, she always answers my emails within a few hours and is always very pleasant in them my family can’t wait to stay at the pink shell ( we have heard amazing things!!). I just wanted to personally thank Amy T. For making the booking process easy and fast !!! Can’t wait to actually be there !! 😃

Great food and nice service! The jet ski rental was amazing as well- best part of the trip! We got to go out and see dolphins swim around us for 3 hours. Super deal for the money. Rooms are clean and nice. Only thing is the set up of the buildings are a little strange. They are like walking through a parking garage every time you leave your room. It is REALLY strange. You also have to open a lot of gates to go anywhere, which is good and bad. Overall, I think that there should be a better layout of the resort, but it was a wonderful place to stay!

Lovely hotel - The only thing I would change are the bed pillows.
Wedding was fantastic and very well organized. Bongo grill has the best burgers. A great place for family and fun. Thanks for the memorable occasion.

The perfect resort with a great staff. Always making sure you are 100% satisfied. The rooms are amazing with the best view of the gulf. We highly recommend Dinner on the Beach. It is worth the price. We will definitely return.

Paradise in my own backyard. We decided to go on a staycation, and the Pink Shell was the perfect place to do it. It is great for families but also has a getaway for couples. We stayed in the deluxe suite and it was fully loaded with a full kitchen, huge shower, hot tub and two patios with waterfront views. The service was awesome. 5 stars

We stayed at the Pink Shell during the first week of July, and I'm ashamed of myself for taking this long to write a review. This resort has to be one of the most fun, beautiful, and thought out places I've ever been. We got to the resort, and was pleasantly surprised that we were on the top floor. We got to our room, and it was bigger than my apartment! The beds were so comfortable, the air conditioning was perfect, and the view of the beach from our patio was breath taking. We enjoyed lots of time on said beach, finding lots of cool shells and sand dollars. They also have paddle boards and kayaks that were complimentary! My favorite part of the beach was the white, super soft sugary sand. It was almost indulgent! We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, drinks by the pool, and an occasional snack at bongos. The whole staff who runs the show here only want to take care of you and ensure that youre having the best time. Everyone was so nice that it made it extra hard to not book one more night when it was time to leave. Since our stay, I've thought about our visit here and all the fun we had almost everyday. I can't wait to go back! Thank you so much for such a great vacation!!

My daughter had a destination wedding in Oct 2015. She got married at the Pink Shell on the beach and then we went to Doc Fords for her reception. We live in Ohio and I think we had 50-60 people come down for the wedding. We all had such a wonderful time staying at this place that 30 of us went back down earlier this month (June 2017) for a wedding reunion. The people at the Pink Shell are beyond friendly and helpful. The rooms are cozy (love the full kitchen in the 1 and 2 bedroom), the pool and restaurants are fantastic and the beach is beautiful. All rooms have a beach view which is a huge plus! Lots of fun things to do in the area. Well worth the trip and as the mother of the bride.it was nice to relax this time around! :)

My husband and I stayed at the Pink Shell Resort for our niece's wedding. We were there for several nights and had high hopes for a great time. Let me first say that the wedding venue itself was lovely and the wedding planner and staff for the wedding were terrific. Now, on to the real review.

We were disappointed with our room in the Sanibel View building. It was extremely run down. The mirrored closet was cracked, the paint on the walls was chipping. Then the room next door to ours was being renovated and the loud drilling started everyday at 9:00 am. Oh, if I could only upload a video so you could hear the obnoxious noise.

Anyway, the resort website told of all the amenities included for EVERY guest who books through their website. It mentioned a beach bag, bottled water, two free drinks the first night, and free breakfast everyday. When we checked in, the girls at the front desk even circled on the resort map where we would go for our free breakfast. The girl who checked us in did the same as the girl who checked in my mom. Well, when we checked out on the last day, we found out that because we were part of a wedding group, we did not get free breakfasts. We had been charged $114 for breakfast for three days without even knowing it. (Everything gets billed to a wrist band.) Even though our bill in the restaurant every day said $0, we were still billed $38 a day.

I spoke to a young lady at the front desk on the day of our check out and explained the situation. She was very rude and said we should have called the wedding planner to find out what was included. We were guests! We were going by the information provided on the website and the information that their own employees gave us. The issue was never resolved. We ended up paying over $1000 for a run down room with construction noise all through the day, an over-priced not-so-good breakfast bar each day, and employees who are rude and misleading. Do not ever stay at this resort!

Had an amazing time at Jack's restaurant. Parking was easy, service was quick and food was delicious and affordable. Would highly recommend for a nice night out. Cocktails were half price at happy hour and out of this world.

Beautiful resort! Room is great for my family (3 kids). Love the pool. Great view and easy access to beach. Food onsite is Good, but also close to a lot of local restaurants.

We spent 2 nights at the Pink Shell, Sanibel building, the room was dated but clean.. However, the day we were leaving, the back of my suitcase was open against the wall and there was an unknown bug, i went through my suitcase and a different little bug was on a pair of folded shorts. I understand its Florida and on the beach, but just wanted to mention this experience. The resort itself is very enjoyable, with great service. We ate at Jacks for dinner and breakfast and it was delicious. I would have given it a 5 star if not for this issue, I suggest you leave your suitcase closed.

We absolutely love coming to pink shell! We come several times a year and love it! Great family friendly vacation. They do need more pool chairs or allow people to reserve chairs as they are usually full/taken very early in the day with towels and no one on them. Some redesign and they could easily add an additional 50 lounges chairs and that would go a long way with guests like us who frequent this location and continue to have this as our only real complaint.
