Stayed here 15 years ago and again now-still great! Friendly staff, rooms have been updated, nice kitchenette, clean, grounds well kept, heated pool, perfect location.

So far great even night desk person called to see if everything was alright. Clean rooms beautiful beach. Glad we stayed here. Awesome staff.

Staff was great,especially in the Seaside cafe. Rooms were very clean and well supplied. Poolside bar staff were great to have conversations with. Beach view was great. Definitely will be returning here.

Thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Room was clean and nicely furnished. Food at the restaurant was fabulous! All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Beach and pool were wonderful! Would definitely recommend it.

This In has lots to offer. Relaxing in the pool, or a stroll to the ocean are only feet away from rooms. The view is amazing. Friendly staff and clean rooms. This place is very relaxing. Will go back and I highly recommend it!!!

Beautiful beach. Hotel is very clean and outside bar staff very friendly. Beach chair and umbrella rentals were a little excessive. I bought a cheap umbrella at Bailey's (hardware store/supermarket - great place) and left it there. Very quiet location. Everything is basically shut down by 10:00 p.m. If you are a nightlife person not much to do at night after restaurants close. Very relaxing. I was looking for a place to relax. If you're looking for nightlife just go over into Ft. Meyers.

It is really cute and convenient. Love that the rooms are so close to the pool and the ocean is right there. Little kitchen in the room is very convenient. And love the little screened patio. Also the deck cafe location and prices are a plus. Pool was nice and heated. Only a few pointers: clean the bathrooms with a "clean" mop please. The smell stayed in the tub. The lady at the bar should be friendly. The bathrooms at the pool are BLACK and so are the walls. It does not look clean at all. You can't see anything and it is a problem when you have little ones.

The grounds were beautifully kept. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Loved having the efficiency kitchen, and screened in balcony with a great ocean view. Definitely will be coming back.

Nice, quiet, clean, and great shelling. Restaurant was good, but pricey. The room was well worth the price. Oh the no-see-ums were horrible. Little bugs that you can't see, they start biting before dusk and will eat you up make sure you bring bug spray. Over all we enjoyed it.

Value: Good price for the room size (on the small side), amenities, and location
Comfort: Beds were a bit lumpy. Every room entry door has frosted windows, which means that you cannot "black out" the room at night when it's time to go to sleep.
Cleanliness: Rooms were clean and odor-free.
Amenities: Nice size refrigerator, safe (with traditional key lock), air conditioner (was faulty, but was replaced immediately), shower was nicely sized, sink faucet pressure was very high with a needle-point spray nozzle that needed replacement.
Staff: Very friendly and accommodating.
Location: They are at the end of a row of hotels, and walking NW on the beach puts you in front of private properties, where the shelling was excellent.
Bottom line: I would not stay here again due to the issue with the entry door windows. Otherwise, I'd be happy to return.response / report this review -

This is my second time staying at the West Wind Inn and I love it here! The best part is having the hotel on the beach so you can walk out in the morning right away to go shelling! I've always had fabulous luck here finding shells. They have a restaurant on site which I have not eaten at since there are so many wonderful dining options. And a shell cleaning station!

Great place to stay. Our room had nice views of the Ocean and you could hear the waves all night long. Nice staff, large and clean rooms, good pool and beach bar. Highly recommend for an affordable stay on the Island. Also, one of the best spots for viewing the sunset
