Great food spot for on the run meals. Also great coop grocery store with a variety of organic and natural foods. Extremely friendly staff and a nice place to sit down and drink your cup of joe, and/or your hot fresh meal.
As a first-time Shopper, I feel like the staff did not go out of their way to help me. The products are good in the selection is good.
This coop is one of A2s best meeting places. Good healthy retail food and sundries. Excellent salad an hot food bar at restaurant attached.
Good place to get some groceries in Kerrytown. We think it's good for small trips. I definitely would have a hard time getting all my groceries here because of the limited selection and price. The cafe is pretty good too!
I love this store! The best filtered water in A2. Always good deals on basics. Love the local produce. So much abundance & great staff. Hot bar is very good & cheaper than Whole Foods. Great ambiance, too.
Just the right size. Amazing selection. Great deals for co-op members.
I love this place. I can get a great lunch and an iced coffee for between 6-8$.
Sometimes the clientele smells kind of bad.
Always quick and usually affordable. The bulk spices are great since you can buy exactly as much as you need for a recipe
A little pricey most of the staff are friendly. Bulk options local organic fresh veggies. The cranberry chicken salad and the smoked Gouda pasta salad are to die for.
I support all worker run operations but the pfc goes above and beyond. It's a union shop which makes it even better. The Serene vanilla bean cupcakes are the best!
Love this place. Great people and atmosphere. Good for groceries or grabbing a snack. Excellent café and food as well!
Has a salad and hotfood bar as well as refrigerated prepared foods. There's also a cafe onsite and a grocery store. The former has coffee, tea, juices, smoothies, and tasty treats. The latter has produce, bulk foods, frozen, dairy, beer and wine. Wednesday is 10% off for members.
Fantastic local organic produce. People's Food Co-Op sells products of integrity - ones that are sustainably sourced, made with natural ingredients, fair trade and local when possible, the whole deal. Most of the items on their shelves are more expensive than their equivalents found in conventional super markets. So this is not the place to fill your pantry with all the staples you need when you're completely dry.
I love the People's Food Co-op, and have shopped there for over twenty years. It is not a place to go for bargains, but I feel good about shopping there, and about the products I buy there. Cafe Verde has a small line of imaginative foods, and is a very handy place to pick up a snack or light meal while downtown.
