The taproom is beautiful and the service friendly but I'm just not impressed by their food or their beer. The different beers all taste very similar and are mediocre. The food was good and they even had vegan options with big plates but there was nothing to-die-for here that would draw me back. My meat eating husband had similar views.

Cool place and appropriate for families. Vibe or music is not too loud. Double IPA is very tasty! Happy hour is generous before 6 PM.

I give the location and ambience a 4 but the food at 2. My companion ordered the Jambalaya which was so salty he sent it back and ordered the Hungarian goulash which was also very salty. I tasted both entrees and was disappointed. The appetizers were good and my Turkey Reuben was really good.

Historical building, a variety of craft beers on the menu many of which are brewed on site🍺
Bar area can be louder than to my liking yet aside from live music there is an option to play billiards and often a party 🎉 is being hosted adding to the level of noise. It is certainly a "hopping" place on weekends especially. Food is above bar fare and more interesting choices than the usual.

Highly recommend the experience of some Rochester history and their Red Mill Craft beer 🍻

Great place to visit if first time in Rochester area. Food is good, beer is great atmosphere is LOUD.
3 star rating is for the locals, place hasn't changed menu in years, they've deleted things but never had much variety. When the place is busy, the service takes a hit. All the servers are really great, just overwhelmed. The only brewery around is why the place does so well. So much potential, but needs an update with food after so many years. Needs more hands on deck when busy. No one should have to sit for 10 minutes without being asked if they want a drink. It's not a server problem, it's a management problem.

Good food and great beer selection! Perfect for a night out. Love their homemade selection of beer. You can even ask your waitress to purchase some to take home during dinner. Their seasonals are always a good variety.

Parking lot was packed, but we were say immediately. Environment is pretty loud due to the size of the restaurant, that's the only problem I had. Food is great and reasonably priced, large portions. The outdoor patio has huge decorative gas heaters that makes it very comfortable. Definitely coming back!

Rochester Mills Brewing Co has been one of my local staples for years. While there have been a few visits that were less than satisfactory, management has always taken care of things appropriately. Other than those few times, the food, beer, and atmosphere is great for a relaxing, good dinner. Everything I have ever tried on the menu is great. Some of my favorites include their wings, lobster mac and cheese, fish tacos, and the stir fry. Honestly, everything on the menu is great.

If you're looking for good food and good beer so good prices, Rochester Mills will not disappoint.

Excellent service tonight. Thomas was great and very attentive. He kept us in the loop of when our food was going to be here. The lobster mac n cheese was delicious!! I would highly recommend getting it. We will definitely be back when back in town.

This place is awesome for big parties or hanging out with friends and family. The beer selection is great and so is the food. Not too expensive. Plenty of room for a lot of people and billiard tables in the middle of the dining area. TVs spread throughout to watch the game.

LOVE this place. Lots of great food and great craft beers.

Food: My companions and I have tried the Jambalaya Mac & Cheese, the Lobster Mac & Cheese, the Shepherd's Pie, and the Cobb salad. They were all great tasting and generously portioned. The bread served with the Mac dishes is especially delicious.

Beer: I've had the Wit's Organic twice, which is a lot like a microbrew version of Blue Moon, which I liked a lot. I've also enjoyed the Porter and the Rochester Red very much. The Milkshake Stout was okay.

Birthday Club: Fantastic value. Sign up online and they will send you a postcard coupon to use anytime during your birthday month. $15 towards your meal and a free Rochester Mills pint glass.

Free pool Sun-Thurs and ALWAYS a great selection of craft brews!
Their cocktails are something to see as well but this place is my favorite to visit in downtown Rochester.
Love their sweet potato fries too !

Good beer, solid food options and great atmosphere. I always love checking out their seasonal beers. The winter red velvet ale is awesome. This place gets crazy packed on the weekends so be prepared to wait 1-1.5 hrs if you aren't there before 5 for dinner.

This was our first time here and I was blown away by the staff and their knowledge. I quizzed them about the mug club and they answered all my questions.
After waiting only 20 minutes or so to sit down we were greeted be our server Greg. He was only of the best servers I have every had. He had great recommendations for food and was knowledgeable of the dishes.
The whole experience was amazing and we will definitely be back! Thank you for the exceptional customer service!
