I am here right now and we have been here for 3 hrs and we have only got seen twice and they never checked on us making sure we didnt need anything and its just crappy service and i am not satisfied with our care at all

Waiting in the ER waiting room for almost 3 hours now. Maybe it's time to hire more people?! This is nuts for 3 hours they haven't taken one person back and there are still 2 people ahead of us.

I had an excellent experience at PH DuBois. Having been diagnosed with breast cancer, I was given superior care and treatment. Throughout the numerous surgeries, tests, and appointments, I was always treated in a timely manor with concern and respect. My general surgeon, plastic surgeon, and oncologist gave me outstanding care and attention. I was extremely pleased with my results from these knowledgeable doctors.
I feel the people in this area are fortunate to have a local hospital with an empathetic and supportive team whose genuine interest and concern rival that of the city hospitals where patients are nothing more than a number.response / report this review -

What a disappointment !! Penn Highlands Home Health can no longer do courtesy home visits to draw blood. I guess we will take mom , who is in her 90's and somewhat home bound to Punxsutawney Area Hospital as it is closer to our home. We have always used Penn Highlands but --things are changing -- it is no longer necessarily the one we will faithfully use. We can and will support Punxsutawney Hospital when we can

I went to the ER with horrible pain on both side of my back. My PCP told me it could possibly be due to kidney failure. The only problem was she wouldn't respond to my attempts to contact her to see what to do so I went on the emergency room in hopes they could help and give me answers. Long story short the doctor came back with the blood work and CT Scan results and told me I have renal failure. He did absolutely nothing to help and became insanely useless when it came what to do from there. If I could give a negative star it would be a negative 5 for their level of care. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL IF YOU NEED HELP OR HAVE AN EMERGENCY.

Just had an MRI there. Excellent facility and top notch care. I cannot believe someone is on here complaining about an employees sweater!!!

had no clue what we were doing !!! took me in to get b/p and pulse and sent me back out to waiting room never got called in again so i left and went to Pennhighlands ELK !!! (not so sure if either of them know wth they are doing !!! )

Went right in to the ER and was out in 3 hours with all the testing. Amazing, friendly and knowledgeable stuff. Thanks

My husband and I heard great things about dubois maternity ward. We gave birth to our son there and the entire staff were incredible. They made us feel at home and was there whenever we needed them. The only problem is the one pediatrition. She sent us home with our son having higher jaundice levels. She was extremely rough with him also. We did not care for her at all. The next day we ended up in the er because his jaundice level rose even higher. The er is horrible. We sat for hours while our sons level just kept climbing. The so called er doctor finally came in and says yea it's up higher your bein admitted and left the room! Didn't give us any chance to ask questions nothing. Then we were suppose to be taken to our room in 20 minutes. About an hour and a half later we were finally taking our 3 day old infant to pediatrics to start getting some treatment. Pediatrics was amazing as well thou. The staff helped us out with everything knowing we were exhausted. One nurse in particular took special care of our boy. She was great with him and because of her we got to come home faster. I would have given 5 stars if not for the er visit. The er is pretty much a joke. But maternity is very professional as well as pediactrics.

When going to the ER my husband was not seen by a medical physician, but by a Physician Assistant who was very unknowledgeable. In any procedures that were performed he had to request them to be given.She did not initiate any examination techniques. Questionable anatomy knowledge.

I use to love this hospital 15 years ago but when I came recently WOW the change there were none of the veteran staff left all new grads who have no problem saying how bad it is there and can not wait to get out. Most of my friends now goto to state college or Pittsburgh now I can clearly see why. 4.5 stars 14 years ago barely one star now !!!!!!! I heard nothing but negativity from staff during my routine stay about that place.

My brother was transported to this hospital with low oxygen levels, confusion, extremely high white blood count. Admitted over night released next day with same issues. Brought him home to the same issues. Ridiculous Drs.on the 2nd floor unit. If this was your family member you'd do everything you can do to make sure their care was the best possible. This was on Thanksgiving. Sure you wanted to get home to enjoy your family on the holiday instead of being more concerned about sickly patience's. This hospital UNIT doesn't even deserve a star.

Penn Highlands Cardiovascular Care Unit took wonderful care of my husband. He had a quintuple bypass. From diagnosis to sergery to recovery to follow-up care they were awsome.
