Our company's holiday party was at the top of the park. The food was good.

The location is awesome, but the rooms are filthy. Folded the bed down to find multiple hairs, eyeliner marks and crumbs on the sheets. Was placed in a different room and immediately found hair in the bed of the second room. We also were not notified the pool and gym were both closed for renovations until after we checked in.
Edit: The closure of the pool and fitness center were stated on the confirmation email. My fault for not reading the entire email.
That still does not fix the unwashed sheets in back to back rooms.response / report this review -

We were staying in the addition section off the west side of the main tower. It has somewhat dated fixtures in the bathroom (commercial style toilet, no fan in the shower/toilet). They were also noisy. Every time someone flushes or turns on the water they would clank. The heating/cooking system is also a bit clunky. Big knob for fan speed and slider for temp which were independent from each other (adjusting the temp slider without turning up the fan did not deliver the expected temperature). Apart from that, the front desk staff were helpful and courteous every time I spoke with them. The maintenance was prompt and effective, the room was clean and had the normal amenities (mini fridge, microwave, tv, desk, table, chairs, beds).

Very outdated hotel. They don’t clean there room unless you ask. When you ask they act annoyed that you want your room cleaned and new towels. That’s if they even answer the phone to the front desk. They strangely ration toilet paper and they don’t like give you an entire roll. The bathroom is really old and small. The only good thing is the location.

Love this historic hotel. I had beautiful views from my room and the bar on the top floor was worth checking out. The food served at the event was also great.

The Park Place Hotel in Traverse City is a nice, clean, accessible hotel that works great as a base of operations when visiting Traverse City. The rooms are comfortable and clean, though not exactly luxurious or opulent. The location is nice and close to downtown but has a large parking lot great for those traveling by car. All of the restaurants and breweries downtown are a short walk away. If your plans involve more time in the city than in your room, it’s a perfect hotel.

Love that this hotel is pet friendly (have to reserve pet friendly room and pay an additional charge of $20 per night). The staff have all been extremely hospitable and helpful with everything we've needed so far. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, and the hotel is in walking distance of many great restaurants. Will be using this hotel when we return to Traverse City.

I was SO unimpressed with this place! My dad got married over Memorial Day weekend and had his reception here and it was kind of a disaster. When we arrived, the tables weren't set with anything other than table cloths. The staff ran around throwing place settings down and hurrying through getting everything set up. My son didn't receive his children's meal, they ran out of salad, and the food we did get was cold. Overall, this was A VERY disappointing experience and I would not recommend them in future.

Nice historic hotel in downtown Traverse City! This has one of the best gift shops in the Region! Lots of unique gifts and local themed items!

This place is amazing when it comes to catering for events. I have hosted several events in the past and all of them have been amazing! The rooms are perfect and the price is pretty fair for what you pay to rent it out. If you plan on hosting an event, this is the way to go!

This hotel is amazing! The architecture of this historic building is breathtaking. The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly! Excellent location in thr downtown area. I will definitely be back!

We stayed in one of the ninth floor balcony rooms. The furnishings were beautiful. Good coffee. Great room size. And the view from the balcony was amazing!
