Peaceful, no-frills camping experience! We stayed in the hardwoods and loved how quiet the grounds were at night. Coin showers were clean, warm and there was easy access to ice cold drinking water.

Customer service of the staff nearly ruined the trip, however, maybe she was just having a bad dayThe campground itself was great though. Tent camping area was quite, spread out and sites were larger than expected.

Wow.. couldn't check in until 1:00..got there..waited until 1:20.. nobody there!!!.. confused about where our site was!!.. never had that happen!!!..had to move.. yikes!!.. wouldn't have minded so much but was treated TERRIBLE!! like I was stupid!.…so worried about rules but people came at 9:00 pm..set up and kept us awake well after 2 am!!!..30.00 a night..pay showers..NO sinks!!!!

Wow, they are incredibly rude on the phone! It seemed like there could be nothing more annoying than answering basic questions about availability. And if you leave a message, don't expect a call back. I wouldn't want to stay at a place where the people working are this unfriendly.

The group sites are phenomenal!! They have more than enough space for 15-20 people. We've been going here every summer for the past 5 years.

Nice campground, but only 1 flush toilet at the entrance. The others are pits and are not maintained very well. Good news is there are pay showers. Sites are nicely wooded, but large enough that you have space to spread-out and be shaded. We just went in early August and the bugs were no where around. Location is fantastic to enable Sleeping Bear day-trips and day-trips to Traverse City. Only complaint is that we didn't stay long enough!

Huge, massive, private and wooded sites. You don't have a bunch of RVs 10 feet away from each other. You really feel like you're camping but still have some amenities. The only thing is there's an outhouse and one flush toilet. Good trade-off to feel like you're really camping though.

I personally will never stay here again. My group stayed in the rustic section and it was very rustic. It didn't look like any maintenance had been done in years. We could barely get to our site with our F150 because the trees were so close and the sights were barely marked. We had no idea where our sight ended and the next began. The biggest problem was the spiders though. We were about ankle deep in leaves and sticks and there were spiders everywhere. They would crawl up the legs of your chairs and the picnic table was covered in them and their webs. I'm still finding them in my truck! I've had nicer sights backcountry camping. $20 a night is absolutely outrageous for such a place. State parks are half the price, less strict, and much nicer!

Very nice campsite, Owner very friendly. Lots of nice trees on the grounds so you don't feel like you're in an open field with a bunch of other campers.
