The food is really good. They actually grill the meat for the tacos and fajitas. The service was good and staff us friendly. We love this place.

Delicious and fresh Mexican food. There's usually a wait. They have a really large menu with lots of choices. They serve you bean dip with the chips and then have a salsa bar with lots of options. Once you are seated they bring the food out quickly. It's family-friendly, affordable and tasty.

Great Mexican food. We had a restaurant in Huntington, WV that was our favorite. It closed several years ago after being open for almost 30 years. This was the first time we’ve found that taste anywhere. Wonderful,

Friendly and helpful staff serve a wide variety of California style Mexican food. Servings are generous and very satisfying. The crowds of people are pretty constant. We've eaten there more times than I can count! Highly recommend it.

One of my favorite restaurants. If we visit Asheville area we have to eat here. You get lots of food for a reasonable price. The food is good and different than your typical Mexican.

Love this restaurant! Great food and very reasonable prices. No matter what you order, you'll have enough to take home for a second meal. Salsa bar actually has spicy salsas (mild options also available). This is a must visit restaurant whenever I come to Asheville.

The original; the most popular "& Beer" restaurant in Asheville. The menu is completely different than the multiple other "& Beer" restaurants, which makes it special.

Wonderful salsa bar, large bar with great drinks and an attentive staff. Crazy crowded during the times you would, but awesome, Cali-Mexican food.

Truly a great experience. I'm more partial to traditional Mexican, and this fare is strictly gringo, but for what it was it was well prepared, very flavorful and healthy portions including a salsa bar with a friendly and attentive staff. Great beer selection and wonderful bartender who pours heavy, so go and enjoy this American Mexican restaurant of choice.

There was a time I thought this was the next Mexican food anywhere, and the best I had, in a very long time, but all that changed a few months back when the partners split up and I believe their good chef left with the other partner, or so it seems.
Food is not as good and where else do you get "dead fajitas, and when you ask why they weren't sizzling, their answer is that other customers get offended by the smoke.
The last I heard, this was on the menu, and it is still a Mexican restaurant, so if you cannot serve as shown, take it off the menu.
Basically food quality has detiorated in the past few months.
What good are large portions if the food isn't good.

Although busy they took the time to make sure we were happy. Very good assortment of mexican food and all is very good. Their margaritas are great and usually pretty cheap compared to others. Family atmosphere.

Food was amazing and fairly priced. Great service. The only downside for me was the salsa selection. They have a salsa bar with 4-5 options, but the flavors didn't appeal to me. That could just be my tastes. Overall strong recommend if you're in the area.
