My hubby and I went on a group tour in a two person kayak. Our tour guide was awesome, despite the fact he was having to deal with a very rude family who constantly interrupted his safety talk and rammed our kayak twice, almost tipping us. I was really surprised at his patience and knowledge. Would highly recommend and would go again when we're back on the islands.

Guide was very knowledgeable with the area. We saw Orcas. There was extra time so we got a great tour of the San Juan Islands. Next time I have out of town visitors, I will be booking from Outer Island again.

We had an amazing time with this company on a whale watching tour. The boat captain and naturalist were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Accurate and interesting information about Washington's wildlife was provided. I would highly recommend them for someone wanting an amazing wildlife and whale watching experience.

This was my fifth time out with Outer Island Expeditions and was by far the best time out. I have never seen so many Orca in my life. They were all around us. We ran to pods J and K. The skipper said there were about
20 members of the pods around Just thrilling!!!! I have never had a bad trip with this company and will be back next spring and fall. My friend (who had never been whale watching) was absolutely awestruck Thank you for a wonderful time, yet again

We had an amazing time kayaking the San Juan Islands. We were two families of four with teenage kids. Our guides connected really well with the kids, played games, encouraged them while kayaking. I should mention their cooking was REALLY good! We will remember this experience forever! I can highly recommend the organization: materials were top notch, guides super friendly and experienced. We will be back!

These guys have the best staff from the customer service gals to the tour guides and boat captain! They scheduled me (+1) in just the day before AND matched the Groupon price over the phone.
The tour was even better. The tour guide was a marine biologist and could answer just about any question, while the boat captain was on the radio with other charters finding other whale pods to see. In total we saw 3 different pods with a total of 15 Orca whales. I had a great time!

This company was great! We went on a kayak tour in August with Bobby and Katie who were both excellent and knowledgeable guides. I appreciated that they showed us the animals of Orcas island while holding a deep respect for the animals' home. I also appreciated that they got to know us a bit and genuinely had fun with our group. We would highly recommend this company.

Life changing. I honestly could not stop crying from the awesome experience of actually seeing these amazing mammals in their habitat. John, Chelsey and Josh were so professional yet laid back, so informative and enthusiastic. Blackfish 4 was the best boat ever. Thank you thank you for this incredible memory. I'll be back and ask for these folks this boat.all the way from NC.

Guide was wonderful and made the trip enjoyable. He had tremendous knowledge of sea life and took us to some wonderful isolated areas. Loved seeing the sea lions and especially learning about all the small living sea creatures that call tide pools their home. Would absolutely recommend as long as you enjoy being on the water for a few hours!!

The experience was seamless! We checked in, got on our boat, and were given suits to keep us warm. We saw TONS of whales, and even a rare dolphin that had just started hanging around. Everyone on the boat was really knowledgeable, answering questions and sharing information. The company even went above and beyond to mail a forgotten camera back to Seattle. Incredible experience!!

We had THE best time - great crew, boat, and obvious experts about whales. I loved that they follow the law and never get too close to the animals. I have been out with many different captains and companies - OIE is definitely in my top-5.

Trip of a lifetime. Captain and guide were very friendly and eager to make sure we saw all sorts of wildlife (including whales). We initially booked online with a Groupon but realized we booked for the wrong day. They were easy to reach over the phone and very accommodating in changing the schedule.

Whale watching- We had an amazing day with Bryce and Krista. We saw humpbacks and Followed the Orcas for a long time, even into Canada. We also saw seals, eagle and porpoise. Our guides were extremely knowledgable and the boat was fast, dry and safe. Bring cash for a tip and snacks. They provided warm jackets. Our island vacation wouldn't have been the same without this excursion.

Kayaking- Our guide Jason went a nice pace and pointed out sea stars, jelly fish, harbor seal pups and eagles. Was a nice slow paced adventure that gave us another perspective of island life.

My daughter and I took a tour with Outer Island Expeditions in early June. We got to see harbor seals, minke whales, harbor porpoise, and then humpback whales. We were blessed to find the humpbacks, and on top of that they both breached! We also got to see an American Bald Eagle flying low. The crew were wonderful and friendly, and the boat was just the right size to not feel like you were on a tourist vessel, but also have enough space to move around. I highly recommend them, and we are planning our next trip with them.
