Our family of 3 stayed in the Willow Cottage for a week at the end of August. There are a lot of great things about Cabins on the Point, but I don't think I'd stay at Willow Cottage again. Maybe one of the other houses on the property would be a better fit.

The cottage is quaint, but some deferred maintenance. Living room sofas are tired, and covered in dingy slip covers. Water damage directly in front of shower had created a decent sized soft spot in the floor that squished underfoot every time you stepped on the bath mat. Tiles underneath the mat were sliding out of position. The Willow Cottage is right on the road, so there is a fair amount of noise from cars traveling at 35mph right outside the window -- noticeable on warm summer days with the windows open. It's the only one of the cottages on the property that is so close to the road, so I think this is unique to the Willow Cottage.

On the plus side, you can walk down the front yard to the beach without having to cross the road -- a bonus for sure with kids. Great tide pools for finding sea stars and crabs. Bunnies bounding through the yard make for a fun late afternoon chase game with little kids. The kitchen is serviceable, and the linens are clean -- and beds comfortable. All in all, it's a sweet little beach just outside your front door, but it's a little pricey given the condition of the cottage and road noise. I echo the sentiments of previous posters who have indicated that the owner is very nice, attentive and helpful.

We've been coming here since our second anniversary 25 years ago. This place is absolutely paradise. We do go other places for some of our anniversaries but hands down this is our favorite. Or as island is particularly quiet in January, which is fine with us. It just doesn't get any better than this.

Last summer my wife, sister-in-law all stayed here. It was the most relaxing, enjoyable vacation I have had in over 20 years. The cabins are clean, simple and helped immensely to disconnect and enjoy your free time. The hot tub near the water was a surprise but one of the best parts and places to sit in the evening watching the sunset. We were blessed that the other cabins were not occupied but they are all separate enough for each cabin to have its own area. They did not take credit cards, only check or cash. I did miss the sound of the ocean crashing during the night but the quite made up for it.

My wife and I stayed in the Heather at Cabins on the point for our honeymoon. This place is an absolute paradise!
The Heather cabin is a perfect spot for a couple who is looking for a quiet romantic getaway. It sits on the edge of the outermost rocky cliff facing the bay. The views are spectacular. From inside the cabin nearly every window frames the pristine setting while the master bed sits in a bay window and gives you amazing views of the moonlit water as you fall asleep.
Every morning we would sit on the edge of the cliff outside the cabin and drink coffee while watching a wide variety of wildlife: humming birds, geese, otters, a family of seals, fish, squid & an untold number of different birds.
The management here was absolutely wonderful as well. They were always happy to assist in anyway to help us enjoy our stay on the island.
We have already decided that we would love to revisit the Cabins on the Point when we celebrate future anniversaries.
