Fun day out for the family. Lots of free magazines, there's toilets, and even a cafe. Don't even worry about getting on the ferry - spend a few days here.

Fast, efficient, good customer service! We never had to wait long for boarding, there is a variety of things to do even if we had to wait. The view is amazing! I love the park across the way from the ferry. They serve hot and cold food inside the ferries that is ok, plus wine and beer on tap. The Anacortes and San Juan Island ferries give me faith back and are far superior to the horrible Coupesville ferry terminal.

I travel every other weekend. The boats are nice. Reservations are not the easiest to work out. For scheduling and keeping it. The ferry mobile platform doesn't work for samsung. People are nice and it seems to cost a lot to keep it that way.

Their reservations are meaningless. We showed up 90 mins early to our Sidney ferry and when we got to the terminal we were informed the ferry was filled by the morning passengers because the morning ferry was cancelled. The staff are nice, and i have had good experiences in the past with San Juan islands. But no notifications! Our ferry was 9 hours later. Save money and time by going to Tsawwasan in BC, they have ferries every hour and they are nicer, cheaper, and have a mini mall to check out while you wait.

$90 round trip to San Juan island is highway robbery! I remember when it was about $50. What happened? The extra money doesn't buy more routes or more chances to get on the ferry. Let's just make it an even hundred and get it over with. Time to buy a boat.

We are going out to Friday Harbor every other weekend. Ferry is typically been running 10-20 minutes late during the summer months. Timing was better during the winter schedule, more on time runs. Overall an OK experience. It's such a beautiful country in the Pacific Northwest, the scenery makes up for any delays. PS: Avoid the warm foods, eg hotdogs and such on the last runs of the day, tend to be less than OK.

Ferries to and from Orcas were on time, loading and unloading my car was a breeze and I enjoyed the views from the boat as we passed through the islands. The attendants at the toll booths (Anacortes, Orcas and Friday Harbor) were friendly and helpful toward this first-timer. The boats themselves were clean, though the restrooms smelled a bit like public park restrooms. There is usually food available on the boats and people tend to leave puzzles on the tables for anyone to work on. There are stands with pamphlets for businesses, parks, tours, etc., some of these give discounts.

Five star because I can't think of a single thing I would change. Highly recommend reservation in summer or you might be waiting in standby for a long time.

Great terminal, well organized. Make a reservation because this place gets packed in the summer.

Our family has rode the ferries several times over the years mostly for fun and sightseeing, not as a daily commute. It's good value over doing harbor-dinner tours. We always bring a camera, but so far no pictures of Orcas, eagles maybe, seals yes and other wildlife. Once the car is stowed on the car deck & you are safely onboard, there is plenty of seating choices. There is food but limited to choose from. Heck you can even bring your own snacks on board.

On a recent trip to Victoria BC we took the Sidney to Anacortes through the San Juan Islands. This is the very first time coming through customs that we got a welcome home from an agent upon entering the USA. I can't tell you how good that made us feel.
