  we had 10 guests celebrating a birthday. Most restaurants for some reason simply give poor service when it comes to big groupsMaybe its because they automatically add in 18%-20% tip and figure they don't need to give service
  BUT, at Osteria Romantica, that was NOT the case. Sure it s very small place, sure it was a slow night, but stillWe had a great service from a sweet young Italian girl with BG SMILES all night long and multiple others coming and clearing the table and providing us with water too. All of the many dishes we got were simply delicious. And the cappuccino was perfecto!

  Really like this place. The artichoke appetizer is a favorite. Food is clean and tasty. Waiters are fun and have actual Italian accents :-)

  Rustic and authentic, the waiter spoke with a strong Italian accent and the service was great. Would highly recommend! The sauce and pasta tastes home made and the ambiance is great.

  Great food! The pear salad was divine. We also loved the ravioli with spinach in a pink sauce. The grilled fish was good and they did a plate of vegetables on request. The place filled up quickly and I can see why!

  The place is quaint. Cute outside patio. A place for locals (of which my party & I were not) since the service they received was markedly different. The food was pretty tasteless. And for the most part over sauced. Very Americanized Italian. The only thing I enjoyed was the creme brulee for dessert. Would not return. Would not recommend unless you were local and know the servers. Place is well priced, rare for La Jolla.

  As soon as I walked in, the coziness and aromas were so welcoming! The food was delicious. They provided fresh baked bread and we had the calamariI had the linguine de mare with red sauce and everything was great. I nibbled off of some other plates as well Lasagna, spaghetti with meatballs and risotto. All delicious 😋. Great find on our last day in San Diego.

  Good place, the food is fantastic. The last time I went there was for takeout. I took my wife to the beach for her birthday and surprised her with the food. It added to a memorable day.

  Love visiting Osteria Romantica for date nights. It's such a cute little Italian restaurant. Great environment and incredible food. If you go at peak hours, it's relatively busy but all other times there is never a wait.

  Great atmosphere, indoor and out. Staff are very friendly. Arrabiata not spicy enough. Desserts are amazing.
