Great to know it's still open. Anytime Grandma came to visit, we always went up for dinner, she loved her catfish and hush puppies. Bill Brisebois and I were rolling around our hills and decided to check to see if it was still open. It is, we had a nice dinner, Bill ordered the catfish. It was really nice, quiet and easy. Which this time of year most things are not quiet or eaxy. Really appreciated it. The view of the lake is still lovely.

Took the bike out for a ride and stopped here for a quick lunch. The service was great and the burger was VERY good. The place could use a little better ventilation but other than that it seems like a good place to eat over by the lake.

Quaint, old fashioned cafe with live western music on Saturday. Mostly locals who have a good time in this out of the way eatery.

We were on our way to the Bates Nut Farm and stopped here for some food. It looks like a hole in the wall kind of place but a kind man inside told us it is the same as it was in the 70's. Everyone was super nice, and since we went at lunch time there was only a few people. Our waitress was super flexible with our complicated order and was willing to do anything for us! Great Catfish Dinner and hush puppies.

I live in Valley Center, and every time I go to the Cafe it feels like I stepped back in time, it's kick back comfortable and all the years I have gone I have never had anything bad. Good food, good service. What more can you ask for. It's like a quick getaway from the busy life.
